I saw Dr. Buckwald On March 21, 2001. It was a group meeting. The dietian did the first part, she explained the diet and said he does 2 different surgery and she then explained them. I am having the duodenal Switch surgery. The doctor came in for the 2nd half of the meeting and explained the 2 surgerys, afterwards we met with him for a few minutes. He asked me what kind surgery i wanted and I told him the DS. He asked me why and I told him my reasons. he gave me a business card and told to call danette the next day to get the insurance going. I called and she gave me a DATE!!! It is May 22nd of 2001. I go back for pre-op tests one week before surgery.. Danette sent in my insurance stuff that same day and it was approved the next day!!!!

Blue Plus was great! They received my stuff from Dr. Buckwald office on thrusday and I had a letter from them the following thrusday! They didnt require any pysch evaluations or Dietitian. I did write them a letter about my daily living problems and I had done a past diet history. The Doctor did not ask for these. I just wrote on my own. Blus plus rocks.
