Hi Stephanie! I just read your update, and I swear I was reading my journal! No kidding about them pulling the drain out, it sends you right into orbit. I hope you are doing well with the solid foods. Since you are just a couple a weeks ahead of me it is nice to read your comments, so I know what to expect. Good Luck!

Hi Stephanie! This is the other Stephanie from IL. I haven't been on the website lately. I hope you are still doing OK. How are the pureed foods? I can't imagine how hard it is to find something you can eat. I have awhile to wait for that. Still waiting on Sept. 2002 for my first initial visit with the doctor. I will keep checking your profile for updates. Best Wishes for feeling like a new person soon, Stephanie Diercks

Hi Stephanie: I remember last year experiencing what you'r going through now. It helped me to try and find a little variety with the foods I could eat. I was able to tolerate some soups (split pea w/water), refried beans, and yogurt. Juice popsicles are a nice treat. The longer you can stay on the pureed diet, the more time your tummy has to heal...don't push it. Just keep a water bottle near by with water or crystal lite. I tried lots of different flavors before settling on orange/tangerine. Keep busy, write in a journal, go to the mall and look at the clothes you will soon be able to fit in. Get excited, girl!!! The hard part is truly over!!!!!

Stephanie, I am so glad to hear that you are doing well post-op. I was excited to read your story because I am very interested in people that have had Dr. Kothari. I went to a support group meeting on Thursday and I have my informational seminar on 4/2. I hope that in the future when you feel up to it you would be able to chat with me to share your information and maybe a few tips. *smile* ~Kelly
