CONGRATULATIONS Laurie, You are doing a great job. Hang in there everyday do get better. I also had my wls in 12/6/02 and yes it was rough for awhile, I had no complications and do feel great at this time. I have loss 62lbs so far. I'm very happy I had wls done. Remember everyday is a Blessing. Hugs

On December 11th, 2002, I had a lap. Roux-en-Y done at Creighton Med Center in Omaha, NE. It was rough going those 1st few days - surgery took 9 hours and the gastric tube about killed me. But I made it through and went home. A month or so later I was back in the hospital with small erosions to my new "pouch". But medications have really helped. I am now 3 1/2 months post-op and have lost 60 lbs. thus far. Eating is going much better and nausea is more under control. Feeling pretty well.
