I am interested in WLS. I am also a breast cancer survivor and definately want to change my life for the best and take better care of myself.

I have a delay in my surgery because I have to do the 8 month diet thing for medicaid. I am going through Johnson Memorial and they will be helping me with my paperwork and getting everything in order until my eight months are up. It's a delay, but at least I'm heading down that road. (-:

Went for the bariatric seminar at Johnson Memorial today. It was very informative and Eileen and Dr. Lindsey are wonderful!!! If I had any doubts, they have been eliminated by going to this seminar. I also have my psych eval Monday. The ball is in motion and I'm so excited about it!!!

Had my part one of my psych eval today and it was awful. I felt like I had to defend myself for two hours. I won't let it get me down though because I am determined to have this surgery no matter what!!!!

Had the second part of my psych eval and she approved me!!! So glad to have that part over with and she wasn't nearly as bad as she was before. 1 hurdle down, several to go (-:

I have been very down because Medicaid terminated my card and I was worried about how I could have the WLS. I contacted the Veteran's Administration and my VA doctor called me today to tell me that they will pay for my surgery!!!! I am so excited, the chance to get my life back on track is better than I could have wished for.
