I am a 40 year old mother of 2. I had my surgery on August 3, 1999. I had my staples removed on August 11 and lost 18 pounds and my BMI dropped from 45 to 42. I now weigh 273 pounds. I walk everyday for at least 20 minutes.

Aug. 20 I've lost another 11 pounds. I've been feeling a little depressed lately and tire easily.

Aug. 27 Weighed in at 267. Up from 262, 5 pounds of water since I am premenstrual. That may explain some of the moodiness.

Aug. 31 I've been throwing up a lot the last couple of day. Plus I've got major diarrhea. I added blended collard greens to my diet. I guess they don't agree with me. I'm 4 week out today!

Sept. 14: 6 weeks out today. Fighting a major battle with constipation, not enough
fruits and vegetables in my diet. Going back to D. Anez on Friday and will ask what I can
add to my meals to make my life a little easier and softer. (SMILE) I weighed myself this morning and
the scale read 255!!! I can hardly believe it.

November 14: 3 months and a few days out. I am eating better these days, getting plenty of protein in my diet; string cheese, peanut butter, tuna and beans. I am still not able to tolerate chicken, it cause a burning sensation in my stomach and I immediately vomit. I finally gave away most of my fat clothes! I started out wearing a 26/28 and yesterday I bought new clothes; size 20! I am weighing 230.

First update in a while. January 22, 2000 HAPPY NEW YEAR! At 5+ months out I am weighing 220. What is most surprising is that although I have lost only 10 pounds since mid November I have lost 2 sizes. Today I went out and bought a size 16 blazer and slacks!!!! I can't believe it!
