8/12/2003- Pretty much the same as January. In the process of moving back to Alaska because I have finished school.

1/20/2003- I am almost 3 years post op. Things are going wonderfully. I have weighed about 155 for the past 2 years. I feel great. I tried to join the Army Researves but because, I had this surgery they wouldn't let me. I can now function on three meals a day and have been able to do so for about a year, though they are much smaller than most people's.

7/20/2001-Sorry it took so long to update this, but alot has been going on. My weight leveled out at about 155 for the past six months or so. I just had a follow up surgery to remove excess skin (what Dr. Copp refers to as an "apron deformity") on the 18th and am recovrering well. (I HAVE HIPS!!!!!) They said that they removed 10- 15 pounds of material. Although due to the swelling I have no idea what i weigh now.

I started at 250lbs. I am now 8 1/2 months post op and weigh 157lbs. I have had no major complications and my energy level is picking up. That took awhile. Now I work out at the gym 5-6 days a week using stairsteppers, treadmils, and rowing machines. I plan to add weights soon. My BMI has gone from 40.3 down to 25.4.

Dr. Miller was wonderful. I have no complaints whatsoever. He always took the time to answer my questions, silly as they may have been and if I needed to see him, he was available almost immediatley.
