I had my surgery on 7/1/99 after finding a good Dr. in Seattle (Dr. Thirlby) at Virginia Mason. I am doing well health wise but I am finding it very frustrating that I can't eat a lot of things and my husband can. I am sure I will survive.

7/26/99 I had a follow up appointment today and they said I can start experimenting with solid foods. I have also lost 30 lbs. Life is good!

8/19/99 Well I just found out that I am pregnant. Definitely not planned. My doctor is out of town for awhile and I'm not quite sure what to do. If anyone has any thoughts about this please let me know...unless they are not good thoughts then please keep them to yourself.

10/30/99 I lost the baby on 9/22/99. I kind of expected that to happen. I am doing well now. I am down to 240 lbs. and feel pretty good. I have hit a plateau and have stayed at this weight for 2 weeks now.

8/29/99 I spoke with my doctor and he says that everything will be just fine. He says I should not have any problems with this pregnancy. Wish me Luck!!!

PHCS(PRIVATE HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS)
After the Dr. submitted the letter to the insurance company, they requested that I see a psychiatrist to see that I am mentally stable for the surgery. Once they received the report from him they approved my surgery.
