I am very excited about what is happening with the surgery and how quickly everything is coming together. I am using Dr. Elliot Goodman. I am amazed at how responsive he is. I was actually a little leary at first about how quickly he responded to my emails. Then I realized he actually does care about me. I have three small children and can't hardly wait to start enjoying life with them. I am now scheduled for Jan 21, 2000. The Dr.'s assistant says I may be able to have it earlier since all of my pre-op stuff is done at this point except for my psch eval. I am a self-pay because my insurance doesn't cover the surgery at all but I have decided it is completely worth the price I have to pay to have a really life again.

At first I thought Dr. Goodman was too eager, but I quickly realized that he is quite sincere about the fact that he cares about what is best for his patients. I haven't personally met with him yet, I will let you know what I think after that happens. His assistant "Nydia" is very friendly but very busy. Sometimes it is hard to get a return phone call because she is so busy but when she does call you back she spends all the necessary time with you that you need. I don't really know anything else yet.
