1/33 call about WLS - am told to attend seminar 1st.

1/12/04 attend seminar make 1st appt with Dr.

1/14/03 1st consult with Dr. :)
He thinks I can have Roux-en-Y, I have started making appointments
for all the pre-op stuff today!!! I'm soo excited and nervous at the same time. I will be fine as
soon as I have the surgery and wake up in the post-op after that
the rest will be easy to deal with.


I am hoping to have surgery March 2004. My Dr. has done close to
400 of the procedures and has a very good reputation plus that I
really like him. I deal with doctors every day at work and I think
he is great and really, really cares about helping patients.

I had the barium swallow and the ultrasound of my insides. All
appears normal.

meeting with dietician-she thinks I am a good canidate


1/27/04


See the GI dr. say I need another barium swallow with a small
bowel follow-thru to make sure my crohn's disease in not in my
small bowel. If if is not he says he will give green light for
surgery.


EKG and Echo ths afternoon as well.


1/28/04


Pulmonary. Dr. he wants a sleep apena test as well as the lung
function tests.


1/29/04


The small bowel follow thru- YIPPIEE!! no crohns disease in my
small bowel.


1/30/04


Respriatory therapy for the lung function tests and ABG.


2/3/04


See my primary who puts me on high-blood pressure meds and gives
his blessing.

Sleep apnea test, no sleep apnea found.

Psych- she thinks I am a good canidate and I have her blessing.

I see the OB-GYN as I want to have a tubal ligation while I am
out. He says no problem just have Dr. Billy call him when I have a
date and he will be there. ;)

See the Pulm. Dr. again, I'm not sure why ,I think to get his ok
and talk abbout the sleep apnea test.

I have been bad
about updating. My surgery went great. I had no problems. Dr Billy
is great. The only thing that casued pain was the drain tube but
as soon as that was out I felt better.

I have lost 23
pounds at 3 weeks, 2 days out. YIPPIEE!!!

Well YIKES I
have been VERY bad about updating.

It has been 26
weeks and I have lost 92 pounds. I have not had any problems and
look forward to the rest of my journey. I m hoping to have lost
111 pounds by December 31st.
