I had a great experience from the beginning. The consultation was an all day event. I like how MUSC treats the whole person instead of just the body. At consulation, I met with a psychologist, a nutritionalist, and then met with his medical staff and Dr. Byrne. He is a great doctor! I left MUSC with books, papers, and any info I needed on the surgery. I also had the phone numbers to call if I had any questions. I also left there knowing that I would definitely have this surgery, there was no more doubt! That was in January and in March, I had my surgery. While convalescing, I had to call them several times with questions and had no problems with anyone returning my calls and answering my questions. What a great staff and a Great Doctor!

Diann, As a person that is having WLS five days after you I asked myself what whould I want to hear this close to my surgery. I would want to hear that I am being prayed for and that my decision is the right one. I pray that your recovery will be fast and beyond your hopes. I ask that God watch over you and bring your through safely to the other side. Walk, cough and breathe deep as you being your new life. You are making the right choice to make a new life for yourself. God Bless you.
