I am a 49 y/o female with a husband and a son. I have been overweight all of my life. My weight really began shooting up a few years ago when I was diagnosed with clinical depression. Some of the antidepressants I have taken have put more weight on me.

I am seeking this option of weight loss because I have tried everything else and none of it worked. I want to lose weight so I can walk and breathe at the same time. I want to be alive to see my son grow up.

Sorry it has taken to long to post but just got home from the hospital tonight. I good long 4 hours ride.My Surgery was 6-3 and today is 6-10. I would have gotten out sooner but had a few lung problems. But the funny thing is I didn't get the swelling from the fluids because they had to stop them due to the lung problem.

The hospital was great and I have a wonderful bunch of nurses. Terrie my LPN, Debbie my RN, expecially. You see I had no family with me the whole time I was up there and I suffer from depression. Then to top it off I could not take my full dosage of depression meds. so I was crying right and left.

I will post more later.

Had my first post op visit with the surgeon. Lost 16lbs. I also had the staples removed.

Finally get to eat more than clear liquids. Sugar free pudding, cream soup, applesauce. Much better.

Been several months now. I now weight 227.5. That is a lost of 72.5 lbs. Yeah!! Still have some problems with eating and loose bowels. Avoid sugar at all costs but have found lots of stuff that is sugar free. I can eat chicken and fish but no other meat and still cannot eat salads. Clothes are hanging on me. I feel fine most of the time and have more energy.

Insurer Info:
Medicare and Tri Care
I had Tri Care Prime along with my Medicare and they kept losing papers and would not review and just kept giving me the run around. So I change to Tri Care standard and am having no problems with it. It approves if Medicare approves.
