ObesityHelp

I have been told my too big for one Dr. to help. Weight is somewhere between 400-450 lbs. I would love for someone to help me. My family and myself are willing to travel to the doctor office and for surgery.

Things are looking up for me. I had find a doctor in NJ who says he can help me. I leave on the 24 of June to meet him on Mon the 25. I should have a date sometime in the mid of July.

The trip when well,I like the Dr very much. He was very nice and his staff is very nice too. We are just waiting for my lab work to come back now. It should be here by Friday.
I would like to say thank you for all the email that helps alot. The dr said that I should have a date in about two weeks. As soon as the insurance aproves it. My family doctor has been working on that for about a week. I update as soon as I know something.

I got my date Aug. 29,01 I can not wait. I have told everybody I know. I like to see they face as I tell them I having this done. Must everybody is happy for me, however some thank they can stop me because they do not feel it safe. And with those people I feel that I have to make them understand I not doing this for nobody other than myself and that means they can stop me. Write again soon.

I'm back home from NJ now and feeling GREAT. It was one of the best things I have done for myself. I was in the hosptal for 4 days, then back to the appartment for 5 more days. On the fifth day I went to see the doctor for the staples to come out. The next day I road for 13 hours to come home to NC the pain was not bad at all. Then on 09/30/01 it was back to NJ for check at that time I was down about 55lbs. The doctor says I'm doing great. I'll write again soon.

I'm here and doing great, sorry I have not written in so long. I went back to work and The Holidays came up so fast.I changed doctors back in Oct. My family doctor took over my care and I happier that I'm not riding 13 hours for a ten minute doctor appointment. I was going to see her every four weeks for Lab work my Liver was not working right and the doctor who did my surgery had not said a thing about it. My doctor here at home said something about my liver being what there(doctors) call a fatty liver, however my last lab work was on Feb. 03,2002 and everything look GREAT!!!!!!! The Liver pannel was perfect. And I'm at 334bls. I can not wait to go back just to see what I'm down to now.
I'm not saying that everything is easy, I have my days, I still can not eat meat, bread, and most anything. I have a friend who had her surgery in April of last year and she is eatting more differt kind of food than I'm. Yet on the other hand she does not drunk Protein Drink and she lost alot of her hair, and ( knock on wood) my hair has not come out. I drink protein drinks everyday, because food does not like me. I still say I would do like all over again because I feel that much better.
And one of the thing I have the most fun with is the look on the face of people who have not sceen me in some time. It takes time to get them to believe that I'm me. I will try to write sooner next time.
