***Angel Update*** Mom is doing great!!!!!!!! The doctor wanted her to go to rehab after her discharge from the hospital to get her strength back and she is there now. She is doing better every day and getting stronger. Hopefully she will be coming home next Wednesday. She has lost almost 40 pounds in 2 weeks. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

It is my understanding that the reason for sedation is to keep the patient from becoming agitated. As long as someone is moving her feet or she has those mechanical booties on, the rest will do her good. Wising a safe and easy recovery,

***ANGEL ON DUTY, REPORTING IN*** Mom is still in ICU :( and still on a ventilator :( Because of her pulmonary hypertension they are having a hard time weaning her off of the ventilator. The doctor's expected this and we were fore-warned that she cold spend a few days in ICU on a vent but it is hard to see her that way. She is under heavy sedation since Friday morning and she does not know that we are there when we go to visit. I have not spoken to Mom in 3 days and it's driving me nuts! Dad is hanging in there but even he said, he doesn't know how much more he can take. It's very hard to see a loved one in that condition! We are saying our prayers and would appreciate any you can spare! If anyone has been through this and has any words of encouragement, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank You, Lisa Golzbein ([email protected])
