Michael, So glad to hear you are doing well. Just keep walking around. When you are feeling better drop me a line. Hope it didn't bother you that I called twice in the same day at the hospital, lol. I am a worry wart. Let me know if you need anything.

^j^ ANGEL UPDATE ^j^
I spoke to Mike today at his home...and he is recovering nicely. He really isnt in any pain per say...just discomfort with the normal things like getting up and sitting down in the chair. Otherwise, no complications...and normal recovery...thanks goodness! He seems to be in good spirits...and we laughed and talked about post op food stages...and how sick you become of things quickly. His staples come out on MONDAY...and he gets weighed in for the first time then. I told him to expect a nice weight loss this week....the first few weeks are awesome!
He is up walking around his house...and around the block a few times a day...which is very good for him.
He did say that his mom made herself some fried green tomatoes and Bacon...and he was loving the smell of the bacon & craving it BIG TIME (head hunger)....but he knows he cant have that right now anymore. I told him to hang in there....it does get better over time. It's all so worth it in the end!!
Well that's all for today....I will update you after he has his first post op visit and weigh in. Please stop by his surgery page and wish him a speedy recovery...and best wishes. The first few weeks are the toughest times during the adjustment period.....he still needs our support to help him through it all!! He is a sweet guy...very funny...and will be A BIG LOSER in no time!!!

I visited Mike in the hospital this afternoon and he was doing well. He had been up 5 times. He is still very sleepy- i told him that was to be expected. He was not prepared for how much it really takes out of you. His throat was sore from the tube, but all in all he is doing really well. He was very happy to hear from his angle and another lady that i am sorry but i have forgotten your name that called him at the hosptial right before his surgery. The people at this site are just wonderful!!! Rebekah
