I had surgery March 11, 2002 I was weighing 308 lbs! My surgeon is great! He walked me through everything and my inurance company I had no problems with.

My first impression of Dr. Rabaza was great! He explained everything in detail to me. How it would be done, how it would affect me personally and the people around me. He guided me as to what I should look forward to and what I needed to do before and after. The day of surgery he was absolutely great and reassuring. Follow ups were great and totally comprehensive, he made sure that I was doing good and if I needed anything him and his staff always helped me as much as they could. If I had to rate him from 1-10 I would give him a 15!! <=0) The best thing about his feelings about aftercare is that he understands that it is difficult but he gives you specifics as to what to eat and what not to eat which is what has helped me. He gave me a list of do's and don'ts that I still go by 6 months later.

I never had a problem with my insurance company. The first thing that I did was call them and ask them what did I need to provide to them to get an approval because this surgery was not an option but a necessity for me. The gave me the info I did what they told me and I got an approval in 4 weeks.
