Hi Suzanne: I am sheryl in NM. I have lost a total of 170 lbs in the last year. 70 before surgery and now 101 lbs now. I have very flabby arms but I look at it as my battle scar. I am not as concious about arms as I am with my big apronthat hangs down around my knees when I sit down. I have a 50 lbs hernia that also gets in my way of exercising and getting around in general. In spite of that I keep on keeping on and dont let it worry me to much because I still have about 200 lbs to loose and I am just grateful for my results so far.I know it is hard but you will be able to get past it in time.I would like it if you would let me know if I can help you anymore. my e-mail address is [email protected]. Hello SuzAnne from the dry side of the state of Washington. I live in beautiful Spokane. Originally I was born in Clarkston (about 100 miles south of here) but we migrated when I was 3 and I've called Spokane my home ever since. My dad was also in the Air Force when I was a kid and we moved around alot so I can sympathize with how you must feel leaving your home and family. He was with the Civil Engeneering Squadron, Red Horse division so we moved ALOT (about every two years - to this day I hate packing & moving), but when I was a senior in high school, he retired. Fortunately though, most of our extended family lives in the area. Spokane is very family oriented and offers a wide variety of outdoor fun, from boating on one of the numerous lakes in the summer, to skiing down one of the surrounding mountains in the winter. Or, if you prefer, we also have two live theaters, a symphony, and several festivals and celebrations throughout the year. (Geez, I sound like a Chamber of Commerace commercial!) Anyway, you'll find the people, for the most part, friendly and helpful (there's always the occasional jerk in any crowd). Fairchild is just a short 15 minute drive to downtown so you won't be isolated if you live on base. If you do end up coming here, welcome. Email me if you have any questions. Pam

SuzAnne~~ I know what you mean about re-locating. About 3 years ago we moved to Moses Lake, WA from WY. It was really difficult at first, but eventually we got used to it. Moses Lake is about 1 1/2 from Spokane- and I am actually applying for a job in Spokane... so, maybe I'll be there to help you unpack. And remember, no matter where you go- you'll always have your AMOS family.
