Mine wasn't Laprascopic so I made an error - I was going to be cut so I didn't put in the appropriate abbreviation for it...it's the gastric bypass but not laprascopically.......Thanks

MY SURGERY HAS BEEN CANCELLED - BLUE CROSS AND BLUE SHIELD DENIED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE DECENCY TO CALL ME - I THOUGHT I BETTER CALL THEM SO ON THURSDAY AT 8:25am THEY DECIDE I COULDN'T HAVE IT..........I AM SO STRESSED, ANGRY, DISGUSTED, MAD...........THEN THEY CLAIM THEY NEVER RECEIVED MY PRIMARY DOCTOR'S LETTER.........THEN WHEN I READ IT TO THEM THAT WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH.........SO HE HAD TO SUBMIT INFORMATION WHICH, I UNDERSTAND, DID NOT HAVE TO BE GIVEN ON HIS FORMER PATIENTS!!!! I AM VERY, VERY UPSET! YOU KNOW, I AM SO GLAD I DIDN'T BUY EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO.........BAD ENOUGH I BOUGHT A CASELOAD OF NESTLES SUGARFREE BREAKFAST DRINK - BUT - NOW I HAD TO PASS OVER TWO-FOR-ONES AT THE GROCERY STORE, ETC. EVERYBODY IN HERE WILL UNDERSTAND. IT'S VERY STRESSFUL! EVERYBODY SHOULD KNOW THAT THE FIRST LETTER FROM YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY SAYING IT'S MEDICALLY NECESSARY IS NOT YOUR AUTHORIZATION FOR SURGERY! I STILL DON'T HAVE THE LETTER AND TODAY IS 4/10TH! I TOLD THE WOMAN IT'S COMMON KNOWLEDGE THAT BLUE CROSS DOES NOT WANT TO PAY FOR THESE, ETC., ETC. WHAT CAN I DO NEXT IF THEY DISAPPROVE IT? WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR VERY NICE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS AND WISHES! MONDAY I WILL FIND OUT IF I AM AUTHORIZED OR NOT BUT I HAD TO BE REMOVED FROM THE SURGERY CALENDAR FOR 4/13TH. I TELL EVERYBODY WHAT A FANTASTIC SITE THIS IS AND AM SO GLAD I LOOKED "YOU ALL" UP. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY ELSE SCHEDULED.......MAYBE, WITH ANY LUCK AT ALL, I CAN HAVE IT IN A WEEK OR TWO LATER. I'LL KEEP YOU ADVISED.

Hi Susan, I'd say don't be nervous but, heck, I was! Of course it was for nothing (except I burned a few extra calories) because my surgery went fine. The surgery itself is way down there in my book of the hardest things I've ever done but waiting for my surgery day is way up there at the top. In fact, the week before surgery was much harder than the week after. For me anyway. After surgery I had soreness more than pain. My back hurt more than my incision (go figure). Remember to keep it positive. That means only positive people around you. The negative people are ill-informed and will just sap you of your confidence. I hope all your health and weight-loss dreams come true. Mine did. All the best,
