Teena-girl! I hope that you are doing quite well at home now! I am still looking for my e-mail addresses for you and Tammara and Sandra. I wish I'd seen you in Sommerset before we all left. Remember that red "rash" on my left arm? That was cellulitis! The nurse WRATCHET completely ignored it until it began to eat at my muscles and tissues! I am now on heavy antibiotics. I could have gotten gangrene if not treated soon! sheesh! I hope your journey has been better! No more fever? On any food-like substances yet? I had 3 1/2-size teaspoons of refried beans per my doc's advice! yay! even that 1/2 oz. was nice change from protein shake and water. Luv ya lots girl! Renée

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and support. It means allot to me to know there are so many of you wonderful people out there, who are thinking of, or have had this done with great success. I will update my profile when I get home from the hospital. Until then...

Good Luck Teena! We share the same date..Looks like there are a lot of us on the list for the same date! Happy Halloween! Best wishes.. I know this period of waiting is a killer for me as well.. but we will make it! I am doing stuff like cleaning out closets and starting my new life..and eating a lot of "last suppers".. My doctors plans are that we don't eat solid foods for 8 weeks..and then very gradually.. so..I am eating whatever occurs to me.. It feels weird not to feel guilty about it! Enjoy the process..

Teena, Good luck with your surgery and I can't wait to see where you'll be in a year. It's a very exciting though challenging journey. I am 13 months post-op and loving it.
