I'm a single parent and full time college student, 49 years, 4'11" tall, Starting weight was 248lbs. I'm on Idaho Medicaid. You have to wait 3 months after your Psych eleuation to have wls. I went to Rocky Mountain Assoc. Physicans, Dr.G.Goodman in Salt lake City, Utah. I had my surgery on Nov.10, 1999. Had no problems with surgery, just couldn"t sleep in hospital bed. So sleep in chair. Got out of hospital on the 4th day after surgery. Started on real food that day. I'm still eating to fast, so have a problems there. I'm now 9 months out and have lost 100lbs. Still have 35lbs to go. Haven't lost weight in the last month. So the last 35lbs will be the hardest.

DR. G. Goodman is a great surgeon. His staff has been great. I'm came from another state (North IDAHO), and so far everything went smooth. I had surgery on Nov. 10th, 1999. I call his office once a month just to check in. Will up-date again later.

Had my surgery on Nov. 10th, 1999. Just had to give medical records, co-mobility, diet history, psych evaluation, and a letter from my pcp.
