Nanette, sorry to hear about your family. Bless you, dear lady. You are only human and you gave into the old routine of comfort for us - food. Go see your PCP and have him check your pouch to make sure everything is OK . If it is start back with the basics again and if you were just starting out from surgery. Remember to drink you water. This will help you keep your full feeling. God Bless you dear lady.

Hi Nanette, I hate that you are feeling so down but don't give up ! i've read so much on this site and i read about a lady who went thru a similar thing as you and gained 30 and then got determined to use her surgery tool and she got back to basics and lost all the way to her goal weight... and i had asked my surgeon and he told me basically the same ... he said go on liquids for a week then slowly add protein and your tool will work well again ... you can do it !! love and hugs Barb

I am five days past surgery and feeeling terrific. I am staying as mobile as possible and drinking lots of water. All the drainage from my incision seems to have cleared. I'm sleeping well and the doctor has already taken me off my blood pressure meds. So far.......so good!

I visited Nanette this morning at the BTC and she is doing GREAT! She said she thought the worst was over:) She was sore yesterday but feels better today. She passed her swallow test (she was eating ice chips) and thinks she will be going home tomorrow. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet her face to face and look forward to keeping up with her!
