On 6/22/04 I got a call from Baylor that they had a cancellation and if I would like to come in for my consulation I said yes and was schedule for 6/24/04. The surgeon consultation fee of $25.00 had to be paid. I also paid $750.00 to the surgeon for surgery deposit, this had to be paid in order to schedule the surgery. I also paid $25.00 for my (FMLA)form completion. And let me tell you this is not all the money that is due and that's alot, I also have to pay $120.00 on 7/15/04 to attend the required Psychological Education Class, Psychological Screening, and Nutrition Class. And that's not all on Sat6/26/04 I will get an upper GI, hope I won't need any money, because as you can see at this point I am broke.

    I CALLED UNITEDHEALTHCARE YESTERDAY 6/7/04 TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY FIRST LETTER, THEY INFORMED ME THAT I WAS READY TO GO WITH THE SURGERY, THEY SAID THAT DALLAS BAYLOR HAD FAXED MY PAPER WORK TO THEM ON 5/18/04. I CALLED BAYLOR BUT THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT SCHEDULE MY SURGERY WITH OUT WRITTEN NOTIFICATION FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY, SO I CALLED UNITEDHEALTHCARE BACK AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD BE GETTING WRITTEN APPROVAL BY THE END OF THIS WEEK. SO LOOKS LIKE I WILL BE MAKING PLANS TO HAVE THE SURGERY JUST AS SOON AS I GET SCHEDULED FROM BAYLOR. I AM SCARED BUT AT THE SAME TIME I FEEL HAPPY TO NO THAT I MY SOON BE GETTING MY HEALTH AND LIFE BACK TOGETHER. TERRY WAS THE PERSON I SPOKE TO AT UNITEDHEALTHCARE AND SHE WAS WONDERFUL VERY UNDERSTANDING, AND JUST VERY NICE. SO FAR IT LOOKS LIKE I WILL HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH MY INSURANCE CO.
