I'm 5'7", 41 years old and enjoy life. I love the outdoors, cooking, bowling, working crossword puzzles and meeting new people. I'm single, (divorced) with one son, (grown), and one granddaughter.

2-1-04 After 6 months of research, I have finally decided to go ahead and see if I can get approval for the surgery. I have 4 months of medical documentation, and need two more.

4-1-04 - I received word today from Dr. Bolar's office, that I have been approved! And surgery is scheduled for 4-28-04!! Wow, that was quick.

4-21-04 - Had my pre-ops today, everything looks good. Here we go!

4-28-04 - Surgery is today. I'm not scared, left this is God's hands, but nervous. This will be a life changing experience, I guess I could say, "today is the first day of my new life".

5-3-04 - Well five days after surgery, I'm at home and doing well. I'm pretty sore, but doing much better every day. I'm bored with the liquids, but am glad I'm doing so well.

5-5-04 - I'm sick of liquids and gataraid!! ;o) But I feel good, go to the pureed diet soon. I can't wait!

5-8-04 - Having some pain in lower left side of stomach, but Dr. Bolars says it's normal. But for the most part, doing well.

5-11-04 - Going into work today to pick up check and visit. I'm doing well, and getting along well. No vomiting, hurting, or any side effects. Has first checkup last Friday, and has lost 12 lbs in 8 days!! Wow, hope this continues.

5-14-04 - Pain is leaving stomach, I'm feeling better all the time, but eating is strange. Only one more week off work. Going back early, but am ready to get back to the normal life.

6-1-04 - Losing the weight!!! Lost about 40 lbs now. I'm excited as heck! Feel great, getting energy back all the time.

7-1-04 - Almost 50 lbs now...eating is getting better, and have no real problems at all.

7-30-04 - Went back to doctor for 3 months post-op. Dr. Bolar was pleased to say the least! Lost 60.2 lbs in 3 months!! No side effects at all besides some foods upsetting my stomach from time to time. Scars look really good, and I am so pleased!!

8-26-04 - 72 lbs and still going!! 4 months since surgery, and doing really well. Will post some pics soon.

9-20-04 - 80 lbs now!! I have been really successful with this surgery. I'm so thankful! The weight loss is slowing down now, but still pretty steady. I can almost eat anything now, with no problems at all. I get tired easy, but not as bad as the first couple of months. Scroll down for pics, will post new ones soon!

04-27-05 It's been some time since I've been on here! I've been traveling for my work and haven't been keeping up very well. It has been one year tomorrow since surgery! I have lost 127 lbs and I am at my goal weight. Dr. Bolar is very proud to say the least! I will be having my first "nip and tuck" surgery next week on 5-5-05. I'm having a breast lift and my arms reduced. I can't wait! Dr. Wells will be doing my surgery.


11-1-05 - I've lost 142 lbs now and weight 155. I've had an arm reduction and a breast lift. I feel and look better than ever!
