1/22/02-- I saw Michelle today and she looks great. The incision is longer than what we had expected but looks great. She is getting around great but having problems with finding something to eat that agrees with her. She is supposed to be on clear liquid but most broth seems to salty. She talked to a veteran Ladina who recommends Campbell soups strained. She will try that today.

Michelle is home today.. She says if you had asked her on Thursday she might have said she made a mistake. I guess the pain was intense and she was very uncomfortable. She is on liquid lortab for pain and says the taste is so bad it stops you from taking to much. I will go by and visit her in the morning and give yall and update then.. Denise

Hi~~ Just wanted to wish you ALL the best with your upcoming surgery. I'm 5 days post op and know the first couple of days are gonna be rough on you....in fact up until Saturday morning in the hospital, I couldn't believe I'd put myself thru such hell (nose tube, IV, etc). The soreness hasn't been a big issue for me yet---wish I could tolerate the Lortab pain med that the hospital started me on but had to give that up for liquid ibuprofen (tastes TERRIBLE!!). My advice for anyone after surgery: as soon as the doc/nurses give you leave to walk, do as much of it as possible. It'll get you home quicker. Lord bless you and keep you as safe & comforable as possible.
