Hi Candace, I wish you the best in you new journey. I live in Bath also, Moorestown. I will be having the surgery on 5/21/02. Dr. H. is great and so is his staff. Got approved in 4 days have aushc. I am going for my EGD on Wed.(4/17). Have my appointment for the pulmonary test on 5/13. Ronda will be calling me on Monday to setup everything else. I am so excited and scared. ButI have to do this for my health. I will email you to update. Again Congrats on your new life. Tammy

Thanks everyone! Kelly, you had me crying. I don't know why but I just started bawling when I read your email (and yes it was a little painful :o) but I did it anyway. Things have been going pretty good with my recovery. I know I'm not eating as much as I should be, but I'm just NOT HUNGRY!! I can't believe I actually can say that. I have been "THINKING" about pizza though....I wonder if you could puree it? :o) I tried making jello with the powdered protein stuff that the nutritionist gave me at the hospital.........big mistake! I don't know what I did wrong, but all the powder seperated from the jello, and I got this cloudy green (lime flavored) jell stuff with this thick clumpy white stuff on the bottom. I don't think I'll try that again. I do need to start getting my protien up though. I've got to find Protienex somewhere local. I'm going to check online then. Still haven't had a BM, but am passing gas (in small amounts) ;o} It seems like my swelling is slowly going down, and my muscles are aching more,especially my ribs. But I'm sure this will pass. Please keep a friend of mine, Eliese Weaver in your prayers. she had the procedure done the day before me at the same hospital (we work together), but she's having alot of problems with gas and pain and eating, she's even vomited already. I don't even want to imagine what that felt like. Well, I be posting and keeping in touch! THANKS KELLY, YOU ARE AN ANGEL!!
