I first went to Bariatric Treatment Center in Ypsilanti, MI in Sept 2000 and I needed more Dr. supervised dieting. After 18 month's of playing the loseing and gaining game I went back and now I'm playing a new game for a healthier and thinner me!!

05/08/08 I,m 6 yrs post-op and have gain back some wt. I,m now 158 lb. size 12/14. I now have pain in my rigth side of my back and neck thanks to 2 deteriorateing disk in my neck. THIS OLD AGE Sh#! Sucks !!!! I,m going to get 2 shots of cortisone in neck in June hopeful this will help with the pain .
I,m hope to start walking this summer. I know I have to keep trying and never give up AND take life one day at a time.

12/12/07 I now also suffer pain in my right knee which at night results in muscle spasms an a lot of pain.This makes it very difficult to sleep at night .For 1 1/2 years I have been sleeping in a recliner.I also did not walk THAT was not good. In Aug.07 the pain started get better and I,m sleeping in my bed alnigth long now with out pain.
Not walking has contributed to some of my weight gain. I truly cannot put all my weight gain on not walking has I am a emotional and stress eater. Some people think that with this surgery it is an easy way out but we still struggle with weight loss and maintaining that loss.






Sept. 06/06 >In April I found out I have a pitched nerve in my neck that was been causing all my shoulder blade pain at one
time it wrapped around under my armpits and into my left breast and the pain in breathing was hell. In June 06 I had an injection of cortisone in neck so far it was been much better. I have had this problem approximately 8 to 10 years and its slowly getting worse but at least I know what cause the pain.

    I meet with Dr Poplawski when my daughter went in for her consultation, and he informed her more on the surgery then the Dr I had the first time in Ypsilanti, Mi. I was very impressed with the info he gave. Straight forward and upfront. So when I went for my 2nd consultation I asked for him.
