Hi Mary I read your post about the gallstones you have. I am curious have you been taking Actigall post op???? My surgeon requires anyone with a gallbladder to take it for three months post op to prevent stones. This particular medication can also shrink existing stones so perhaps you can try this medication before having another surgery??? Be sure to ask your Dr. about it he might just let you try it. HI MARY,I HAD MY LAP GASTRIC BYPASS 7 MO.AGO I HAVE LOST 120 POUNDS SO FAR.AT 2.5 WEEKS IT IS HARD TO GET IN ALL THE PROTEIN AND FLUIDS.YOU DO AS MUCH AS YOU CAN .THERE IS GOING TO BE TIMES YOU JUST CAN'T GET IT ALL IN,BUT TRY.AFTER 4OR 5 WEEKS IT WILL GET BETTER.REMEMBER ANY THING LIQUID YOU COUNT AS FLUIDS.IF YOU CAN FIND A BOOK THAT TELL YOU WHAT IS HIGH IN PROTEINS IS A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE.I'M LIVING ON PROTEIN BARS NOW I EAT TWO A DAY LOW IN SUGAR AND CARB.PROTEIN IS FROM 18GM-36 mg. DON'T TASTE THAT GOOD BUT GOT TO GET THE PROTEIN IN.MY STARTING WEIGHT WAS 346,AND I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER.THIS SURGERY HAS SAVED MY LIFE.IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO EMAIL ME I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU .I WILL TRY TO HELP AS MUCH AS I CAN.GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS YOU AND THIS SURGERY.
