Well i had my surgery July 30th with Dr Iqbal in Bridgton. Hes The BEST!!!! As well as his office staff. I have to say the hospital had a lot to be disired (the old bridgeton hosp.) it was dark dingey and i never saw a nurse until every morning around 3am and it was always the same male nurse, he was great even though it was 3am, i often wondered if he was the only other person in the hospital as he was the only one i ever saw????? Except my Dr who stopped in everday of my stay. When i finally though i should get up and walk (advice from my friends on OH) I walked down this long dark hall way to the nurses station where it almost seemed like a scary movie as this seemed to be the only place with lights and people, They looked at me like who are you???? Or maybe i had 2 heads or something no one ever said a word to me after a few harsh stares they went back to the conversation and i headed back to my room and never ventured down there again for fear of what might happen if i interrupted them again! I have to say this was the only bad part of my surgery, but it still haunts me the looks on there faces. And i have to thank my Daughter who has been threw this whole process with me i couldn't have did it without her THANKS RACHEL! Well everything has went just as you'll on OH said and i did fine no problems once the ng tube was out, mimnumal pain did and still have some insonima, but am off all diebetic meds and heartburn gone! I had 6 weeks off from work but felt like i could have went back after 2 weeks, if there were no lifting involved. I have been losing slow but pretty steady actually excactly what my Dr said i would between 2 to 3lbs per week, this was up till my 7 month where i had a 6 week stall. Then i lost 6lbs and its been another 3 weeks stall this seems to be my new pattern i lose right around the time of my period and usually 5 to 6 lbs then nothing for the rest of the month lately. Kinda get down but i feel so much better and healthier.It almost 8 months now and i've lost 93lbs i started at 271lbs and a size 26/28 to 178lbs and size11/13 of couse i look like a sharpa under all the clothes but i am ok with that at this point. Anyway thats about it will try and figure out how i can get some pics posted as i don't have a scanner or anyway to put then in computer maybe i can send them somewhere? I will try and keep up dating as i progress.
