6-12-05 11 Months post op...down 95 pounds. Weigh 143 and feel fabulous! I can wear a size 8! Never any complications....this is the best thing I have ever done for myself!


9-22-04 2 Months post op----down 45 pounds. All I can say is this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I am making excellent food choices and exercising for the first time in my life. I would do this again any day!


8-5-04 Had RNY on July 21 (2 weeks ago). Feeling great with
no complications. Still a little sore on my left side as expected. I have lost 23 pounds so far and still learning how much and when to eat. Mostly liquids still but adding soft foods like fish and veggies. Very important to get the protein in...I am taking supplements 2-3 times per day.


6-3-04 I am scheduled for surgery July 27 with Dr. Spivak. I am going next Wed to have my psych eval done...then I will be finished. Already had all other test done a few weeks ago. I finally found out that BCBS is going to pay for my surgery. I thought my heart was going to jump out of my body when Shirley called to tell me the good news. I am so excited. I just can hardly wait. I am going on vacation June 11 and Dr. Spivak will be on vacation for 2 weeks after that. I will be ready to go....let me tell you. I am ready for this surgery. I have 3 children that need me to live until I am 100. I am 34 years old and want to feel great about myself when I turn 35. I am looking forward to a new ME. I have gained and lost 70 pounds twice but never kept the weight off. I feel like this surgery is my last hope. I signed up for the Lifetime Fitness Center so I have NO reason NOT to exercise. That place is like a glorified exercise palace. They have day care for the kids too! I am commited to do whatever I have to do to get this weight off and keep it off.
