whew! This can really be a roller coaster ride...I received my package from Dr. Lowe's office...took care of the blood wk, psy eval, and nutritional assessment (which I had to go back for a follow up visit). Met w/Dr. Lowe on the 28th of April and everything checked out. Dr.Lowe was very sweet and informative. The only thing I'm waiting for is for the nutritionist to write her letter (in which, she's not going to do until after the 10th of May). **no comment** Well, Monday will be the 10th. I'm just wondering how long it will take to get an answer back from my insurance company after everything has been submitted. — RENEE *********

Today is Tuesday,May 17th, and my info was sent to my insurance company. I am now waiting approval. Will update as soon as I hear anything... — RENEE *********

WOW! My info was submitted to my insurance company on the 17th of May (Tuesday...that Friday, May 20th, I had an approval letter in the mail!!! YES! My new date of birth is 6/15/05!!! I had to end up paying 15% (987.00)....Hey, I will not complain! Yes!!!! — RENEE *********

Wow! Where do I start...Bad news and good news, my surgery was postponed...However, July the 11th will be my new date...Now, I really feel like Im on a roller coaster ride...stressed, drained, physically and mentally tired...NEVERTHELESS, Iam an overcomer! This too will pass!

1st and foremost, I want to take this time to thank everyone that sent me an e-mail...My wls took place on Monday, July 11th, it took my doctor 3 and 1/2 hrs to perform the surgery. Healing time is tough. Im not hungry, however, I often think about food. I would not take anything for the decision that I made...and I can not wait to become a loser!!

Two weeks post op and I'm a mess..."WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO". Im trying to adjust. I'm down 16lbs in 2 wks, thats inspiration to carry on...It has got to get better!

I'm 3 months out and I have lost about 56-57 pounds..Thats alright considering, I'm not taking any protein and I have just started to work out...My 1st goal is to be at 195-190 by Thanksgiving...will update soon....This has truly been a liftstyle change (for the better) i'm FEELING SEXIER AND SEXIER! GO ME, GO ME!!!! BLESSING AND HONOR TO GOD WITHOUT WHOM NOTHING IS POSSIBLE!
