Well I am 44 yrs old and have been over wgt all my life, just like most of you on here I have battled it thru the years with diet pills and every diet known to man kind and have lost the wgt and gained it back every time. I have started to have some wgt related problems now like severe sleep apnea, osteo-arthritis of my knee, so I realise its time to do something drastic to help my self feel better and live longer. I am scheduled for the surgery on July 21, thats if I pass all the pre-op tests (fingers crossed). I have a wife that is very supportive in this and she says if I do well she may do it too, also I have two wonderful kids a daughter 19 that goes to OSU and a son 15 in High School, I want to be around along time for them. I can't wait to come back and report all the weight losses!
Well sorry it took so long to post, I had my surgery on July 21, and everything went well, it was lap and I have lost 42 lbs as of today Aug 22, have had some weakness and dizzyness, but most likely from losing so much so fast. Takes some getting used to on the eating so little and the chewing, but so far so good. Anyway just wanted to post something and I will get some pics up soon.
Its 7 weeks today and I have lost 58 lbs, I am starting to get my strenth back and feel much better. I still have the seroma/hematoma but they still assure me its going to go away with time. Other then that I am doing fine. Hope to get a pic up soon.
