I saw Terri last night in her regular room. After surgery on Tuesday she went to the ICU and did not get to her room till about 6 p.m. last night. She's doing well except for some troublesome itching from the anesthesia. She did spike a temp so they gave her a leak test yesterday before moving her to her room. She passed. As of last night, the epidural was working well controlling the belly pain, except she has some numbness in her right leg which makes it tough to walk. The NG is out, for which she is very very grateful. She wasn't real happy with the nursing care so far, but they seemed to be doing better while I was there last night. She was really together and very conversational. All in all, she seemed very "up." Way to go, Terri! Welcome to the other side!!!
