i had wls on february 29, 2002 and lost 130+ pounds. i began vomiting after i ate a meal about 2-3 times a week during the winter of 2003. the vomiting progressed to once and sometimes twice a day. i had lost my job and had no insurance and could not afford to be tested. when i did get insurance in november, i started the testing procedure. since i couldn't keep anything down except some junk, i picked up my old eating habits. it didn't matter since i was throwing up and not gaining any weight. i was losing more, in fact. in december, 2003, i was put on antibiotics for a tooth infection, and then more antibiotics for a cold.
the vomiting stopped. i figured it was a bacterial ulcer. i was having pain and my doctor ordered an upper g.i. to check for an ulcer. no sign of one. nor was there a sign of any kind of gastric bypass?!? i'm having an endoscope in april, and then meeting with my surgeon. needless to say the old eating habits are back and the weight is piling back on.
