Alisa, I pray that all went well with your surgery. Dr McConnell was also my Dr...he has no doubt been sent to us from Heaven...I know that he has a support group up on the hill somewhere, but if you are ever interested in attending the Providence Med support group, here is the address: http://www.wlssgportland.com/ We meet once a month. When I first had my surgery, Dr McConnell did not have a support group. Anyway, as long as you have someone to talk with. Should you like to talk to anyone, here is my phone number I am local for you. 503-662-3810. I had my surgery Nov 8th, 2000 and todate have lost in the range of 190 pounds...I jog 1.5 miles every day..and just live like I have not lived before...Good luck to you...and welcome to the other side...its all up hill from here....I know that you may question "why" you had this surgery for the next while...but soon that will pass..just take life one day at a time...and listen to Dr McConnell...what he says makes sense!
