My first impression of Dr. Cook was that he was a very kind and patient man, with a lot of compassion, and I was right!! I am 7 weeks out, and my opinion of him hasn;t changed. His office staff is very busy, but always treats me with kindness.Anyone planning to meet with Dr. Cook shouldn't be afraid of asking too many questions, or taking too much of his time, because he is very willing to listen, and answer all of your questions.He has an excellent dietition who will keep in close contact with you after the surgery, to be sure that you are getting proper nutrition.Before my surgery, he gave me a whole sheet full of possible complications, and went over them with me, so that I understood where I stood.I would rate him a 10 on a scale from 1-10. He is an excellent surgeon, both in the OR, and afterward, too.

BCBS State Comprehensive approved me within a week, no problems. I was told what they had to have as far as my medical history went, I got all that together, and I had an acceptance a week after it was submitted.
