today is 12/25/00-i had my surgery on 10/20/00 and already have lost 64lbs.i never thought i could ever lose weight and i am so happy that i was able to undergo gastric bypass surgery for weight loss.i do not regret having surgery for one minute.even with all the changes i am going through with eating and gas etc.i would recommend surgery to all that are seriously thinking about it.1/6/01-weight loss totaling 71 pounds1/13/01-weight loss totaling 73 pounds 1/20/01-weightloss totaling 77 pounds i just cant believe i lost 77 pounds in just three months 1-27-01 my weight loss total is now 80 pounds2/3/01-total weight loss 83 pounds now.2/10/01-weight loss totaling 87 pounds 2/17/01 lost seven more pounds this week weight loss totaling 94 pounds 2/25/01-down four more pounds weight loss now totaling 98 pounds however i notice now that my hair is falling out.i have thin hair to begin with and hopefully there is something i can take to help this hair loss problem 3/11/01- as of today weight loss now totaling 103 pounds.3/17/01 lost three more pounds.but hair is falling out bad. as of 3/17/01 total weight loss is now 106 pounds


3/23/2001- today is my birthday and i feel great. i am now five months post op and have already lost 109 pounds. i feel alive for the first time in my life.my only regret is that i didn't have this surgery years ago.now i know things we will be better since i am on my way to a new me.


3/25/01-as of today i have lost 111 pounds. hooray!!!!!!!

3/31/01- only lost one pound this week but thats okay. will check again tomorrow.
4/1/01-lost one more pound total loss is now 113 pounds!!!!!
4/6/01-three more pounds lost total loss is now 116 pounds

4/21/01-losing very slow these past two weeks but not worried i have now lost 118 pounds in six months
4/24/01-as of today i have lost 119 pounds in six months.
4/27/01-as of today total weight loss is now 121 pounds.
5/1/01-as of today total weight loss is now 122 pounds.
5/2/01-as of today total weight loss is 123 pounds!!!!!!!!!!
5/3/01-lost another pound total weight loss is 124 pounds now.i am now down to 226 pounds was 350 before surgery.i am thrilled and am still losing!!!!!!!!!!!!
5/4/01-lost another pound!!!! weight loss is now 125 pounds. weight down to 225 pounds-hooray!!!!!!!!!!! i cant believe i lost 125 pounds after surgery and 40 pounds before my surgery.in january 2000 i weighed 390.on 10/19/00 the day before my surgery i weighed 350 and today 5/4/01 i weight 225 and still losing.i feel great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5/5/01-another pound gone total weight loss is now 126.hooray!!!!

5/21/01-hooray plateau is finally over. finally lost two pounds.weight loss is now totaling 128 pounds in seven months. can't believe i am now down to 222 pounds from 350 pounds!!!!!!!!

5/23/01- lost another two pounds.weight loss now totaling 130 pounds in seven months!!!!!!! as of today my weight is down to 220 pounds.

5/27/01-just dropping by to give a shout before i leave for my cruise to the bahamas today. as of today i now weigh 214 pounds down another six pounds hooray!!!!!!!!!
6/8/01-another pound gone.weight is down to 213 pounds total weight loss is now 137 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6/10/01-lost three more pounds!!!!! weight loss total is now 140 pounds. weight is now down to 210.
6/16/01-lost three more pounds this week!!!! weight loss totals 143 pounds.weight is now 207 pounds.
6/17/01-two more pounds gone!!!!! weight is now 205 pounds,weight loss totaling 145 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7/4/01-lost two more pounds.plateau is finally over.i now weigh 203 pounds.was able to fit into a size 14 dress and size 14 shorts.woo hoo!!!!!! weight loss totaling 147 pounds since surgery. lost 40 pounds before surgery so weight loss is actually 187 pounds total!!!!!!!!!!

7/6/01-down another pound!!!!!! woo hoo!!!!! weight is down to 202 pounds. weight loss total after surgery now 148 pounds total weight loss now 188 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cannot believe it.i feel so great. it is amazing!!!!!!!!!
7/8/01-lost another pound!!!!! weight is 201 pounds. down from 390 in january 2001.weight loss totaling 149 pounds since surgery plus the 40 pounds before surgery actual weight loss total is 189 pounds!!!!!!!!!!
7/15/01- another two pounds down and i finally am under the 200 mark.weight is now 199 yippee!!!!!!
7/23/01-scale finally moved again.only 1/2 pound but better than nothing.
7/24/01-another half pound. weight is down to 198!!!!
7/25/01-another pound down!!!!! weight is down to 197 pounds.weightloss since surgery is 153 pounds total weight loss totaling 193 pounds!!!!!!!!!
8/2/01-finally lost two more pounds!!!!! weoght loss since surgery is now 155 pounds. i can't believe i am now down to 195 pounds!!!!!!
8/5/01-lost another pound this week!!!! weight loss is now totaling 156 pounds since surgery.weight is now down to 194 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
8/9/01-another two pounds off!!!!yippee!!!! weight loss since surgery totaling 158 pounds.weight is down to 192 pounds now!!!!!
8/10/01-lost another pound!!!!! weight is now down to 191 pounds,weight loss totaling 159 since surgery plus 40 pounds before surgery.total weight loss is 199 pounds.
8/11/01-lost another 3 pounds weight is now down to 188.
8/25/01-lost another 2 pounds yippee!!!!!!
9/27/01-weight is now 182 yipee.only lost four pounds this month but thats okay.wearing size 14/16 now.
9/29/01-weight is now down to 180.weighed 390 in january 2000
10/13/01-weight is down to 178.down 172 pounds since surgery total weight loss now 212 pounds
10/20/01-today is my one anniversary since my open rny.i am now wearing size 14 and down to 177 pounds.i am now looking into plastic surgery for sometime next spring/summer
10/25/01-weight is now down to 175 pounds. weight loss total is now 215 pounds 175 since surgery and 40 before surgery. i will be updated my pictures on my profile in a few days.
10/27/01-down another pound.weight is now 174
10/30/01-weight is now 173 pounds!!!!!!!
11/1/01- as of today i have lost 177 pounds since surgery plus 40 pounds before surgery total weight loss so far is 217 and i now weigh 173 pounds. i am now wearing size 12 or 14 depending on the cut style and material of clothing.i am now researching plastic surgery and will start my consults soon after the new year. i have a lot of sagging skin but i guess empty skin is better than fat. i need a lot of work but my main concern is my stomach and breast reduction. i can camoflague my arms with short sleeves. i
really need arms thighs stomach and breasts done but i will do tummy tuck and breast reduction first.hopefully the insurance will cover it.

11/6/01-lost another pound yippee!!! i now weigh 172 pounds.i just cannot believe it.all this in only one year.weight loss since surgery is 178 pounds plus the 40 pounds i lost before makes total loss now 218 pounds!!!!!

11/9/01-i now weigh 170 pounds.i still cant believe it. had a lot of distressing news this week at work but at least i am still losing weight!!!
11/17/01-lost another pound down to 169 pounds now!!!!! today i went shopping and bought three new outfits size 12. who would have ever believed it????????????????
12/05/01-weighed in today at 167 pounds. i just cannot believe it. also went shopping this past weekend and bought a lovely short leather jacket size medium and three pair of pants size 10.i am so happy. weight loss since surgery is 183 pounds total loss 223 pounds
12/14/01-weight is down to 166 pounds!!!!!!!!
12/16/01-weight is now down to 164 pounds.total weight loss is 226 pounds. 186 pounds since surgery plus 40 pounds pre-op.
12/21/01-weight is now 161 pounds!!! another three pounds down.
total weight loss is 229 pounds.189 pounds since surgery plus the 40 pounds preop loss
1/18/02-only lost one pound this month. weight is now 160 pounds.weight loss since surgery is 190 pounds plus 40 pounds lost before surgery total weight loss is 230 pounds
1/28/02-lost another pound.weight is now down to 159!!!!!!
1/29/02-lost another pound.weight is now down to 158 pounds.
1/31/02-as of today i now weight 156 pounds.i can not believe it.
2/3/02- weight is now down to 155.5 i just cannot believe it.
2/15/02-weight is now 154.5.well i went to a new surgeon on 2/12/02 for follow ups now. all my blood work is fine and i have developed a hernia which i will have repaired at the same time as tummy tuck. i will probably have thigh lift at the same time if it is not too too expensive.i dont have a date scheduled because it all depends on if a job transfer comes through. if job comes through surgery will have to wait till end of year which doctor says is okay since hernia is not obstructing anything. either way i will see surgeon again on may 7 th 2002

3/2/02-went shopping and bought all new outfits.now wearing size 8.i cannot believe it. it is an amazing feeling. i cant believe i am now wearing size small and size 8 and thats before tummy tuck. i cannot imagine what size i will wear after plastic surgery
3/30/02-weight is now 153. i will see surgeon again on 5/7/02
my hernia seems to be getting bigger and i now have to bumps protuding on my belly.i am not in pain but when i eat i feel tightness in stomach and have trouble going to bathroom.
i will call surgeon to see if i can see him before may if possible.
4/8/02-well i went to doctor today and my double hernia repair and tummy tuck is scheduled for friday june 14,2002.i hope it goes well.
4/21/02-weight is now 152.
4/27/02-weight is now 150.
6/14/02-well my hernia repair and tummy tuck was cancelled today.
i was all registered in hospital and doctor had an emergency
with his first surgery so i am going to have my surgery on monday.I just cannot wait for it to be over.
6/22/02-well i am now 5 days post op from my tummy tuck and hernia repair. i found that i did not have 2 hernias but the two i could see plus many small ones. my doctor said it was like swiss cheese but all went well. i am very sore came home from hospital yesterday.
6/30/02-i go back to surgeon on tuesday 7/2/02. i hope that some of my staples and stitches will be taken out. still having some pains but that is expected afterall abdominoplasty and hernia repair was only 13 days ago.
7/9/02-I went for checkup today with Dr. Roslin. I didn't have any staples.Dr. Roslin informed me that my incisions were closed up from the inside. I am now 3 weeks post op from my 8 hernia repairs and abdominoplasty. I am feeling well and I am thrilled.
7/19/02-I will be returning to work on july 29,2002 exactly 6 weeks from my surgery date. I will also ask Dr. Roslin to recommend a plastic surgeon for me to see. I will start looking into doing my arm lift breast reduction/lift and thigh lift. Even though I will not do the surgery until after the New Year it is no time like the present to start inquiring. I will also ask plastic surgeon what can be done for hanging skin on back in flank area.I guess empty skin is better than fat.lol.The swelling from abdominoplasty is starting to go down and my weight is down to 146.
8/18/02-as of today my weight was 143 pounds.
9/1/02-I have a follow up appointment with Dr. Roslin on September 17th 2002 which is exactly 3 months since my 8 hernia repairs and my abdominoplasty. On September 18th 2002 I have a consultation with Dr. Abramson plastic surgeon regarding arm lift,breast lift and thigh lift and what ever else needs work.
I hope to do the arm lift and breast lift together after the new year and maybe thigh lift if it can all be done at the same time. I will see what the doctor says is doable.
9/17/02-I went for my follow up visit with Dr. Roslin for my 8 hernia repairs and my abdominoplasty and everything seems to be doing well. Dr. Roslin said my incision was healing beautifully and that I looked terrific.
9/18/02-I went for a consultation with Dr. Abramson regarding some further plastic surgery procedures. I am hoping to do arm lift(brachioplasty) with a breast lift(mastopexy) after the new year and then thigh lift and butt lift or lower body lift down the line.Dr. Abramson recommends only doing two procedures at one time otherwise I will be under anesthesia for too long.Dr. Abramson took pictures and will send them to insurance company one never knows. If not I will do surgery anyway.
12/17/02-I went for follow-up with Dr. Roslin today. He said I healed very well from my surgery in June and everything is rock solid.
12/20/02-Well I received bad news from the insurance company today. They will not pay for the arm lift(brachioplasty) or the breast lift(mastopexy). Insurance company says it is cosmetic and will not pay. I will have it done but now I have to save up the money which is costly but I do intend to do the surgery anyway.
02/08/03-Well i am scheduled for my mastopexy(breast lift) and brachioplasty(arm lift) for Friday March 14,2003. I cannot wait.I
have so many things to get done before my surgery.I will be self paying for surgery so i have to get all in order since payment must be made before surgery.
03/16/03-Well I had my surgery on 3/14/03 and feeling sore but okay. I can wait to see what edverything looks like.Right now I
am waling like a monster. I am all wrapped up. I will keep all
posted.
03/17/03- I went to see Dr. Abramson today and he unwrapped my arms which made a big difference. I can now feel my fingers again and the swelling in my hands is going down. I put on my new compression garment and even though I have some pain the meds are helping. And my breast lift looks great even though they are still swollen they look beautiful. lol
03/18/03-It is 4 days since my mastopexy and brachioplasty.I am feeling okay.Sore but its not too bad. I am just very tired but
thats normal after surgery.Pain is worse at night but the pain meds are helping me.My plastic surgeon and his staff are just wonderful and very helpful.I go back to plastic surgeon next Wednesday March 26,2003. Also Sunday March 23,2003 is my birthday.
03/22/03-Well it is one week since my brachioplasty and mastopexy and I feel pretty good. Just sore but that is expected.
Tomorrow is my birthday and I feel great.
04/09/03-It is almost 4 weeks since my plastic surgery. I am feeling fine. My stitches in arms and breasts have not dissolved yet but the swelling is continually diminishing. I will see Dr. Abramson on April 21,2003 for follow up. I will ask him about thigh lift and lower body lift or butt lift and some liposuction in flank area on back. I will start having him send pictures to the insurance company anyway to see if any will be covered although I don't expect any will since last surgery was not covered.I will just see what happens.
04/27/03-Well it is six weeks since my breast lift and arm lift and all is going well. I went to see Dr. Abramson on April 21,2003 and he said all looks well. I took my pictures for my next round of plastic surgery. Next up I am planningto do my thigh lift. After the thigh lift I will do a lower body lift and some liposuction on the flank are on the back.
05/09/03-Today it is 8 weeks since my breast lift and brachioplasty(arm lift). I feel very good and swelling is finally subsiding.

06/22/04-Well, it's been a long time since I updated my profile.
The past year was very hard for me. with a lot of family troubles and unfortunately I have gained 36 pounds. I hope I will be able to lose weight again. It is very hard since it will be four years since surgery in October and now I can eat more normally. I do not like what happened and I hope i can get back down.
