Good morning all of Susan McNeil's family, friends and supporters....(I'm her other 'angel', Florrie---with the Gastric Support Group here at Eisenhower Army Med. Center, Augusta, Ga.) Wanting to report that Susan is doing much better.....she has made many milestones these past few weeks...moving to the surgical ward, healing slowly everyday,had skin grafts to her incesion, finally.... passing her swollow test with no leaks, FINALLY getting that NG tube removed,and getting ice chips and water. (thank goodness she's been being feed thru a feed tube in her old stomach to help promote her healing and give her nourishment. She is a walking miracle...God is so good !!!!....yes...she walks, talks and sits in that blasted chair...LOL ! I've been to see her lots, washed her hair and even gave her a hair cut..(we hairdresser always want to make you feel human again.) Spoke with her last night and promised to up date everyone and thank them for all the prayers...and please keep them coming.....she's doing 'babysteps" in her recovery ...and is getting better everday !!! She is open to visitors and welcomes phone calls....at (706) 787-8814...Our support group here has been visiting her and supporting her alot. 'angel' Florrie signing off ...(((HUGS))) ^j^ ^j^ ^j^

Susan is now is some kind of a step-down unit.....and I think is doing a bit better....I was able to talk to her for about a minute...it was very hard to understand her....I think that her throat must be very very sore from the vent...but another amos member is visiting her tomorrow and I will post after on the condition...thanks for all your continued support, I'm sure that it's going to mean a lot to Susan.
