Hello Melissa, Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. We are going to the "other side" on the same day!! I will be at the Bariatric Treatment Center in Belvidere Illinois. It is so hard to believe that it is only 9 days away!! I feel like I am on a bit of a roller coaster between excited and scared. But mostly excited. I am confident that I am making the best decision for my future!! I look forward to sharing our progress! I know that walking and coughing and deep breathing is the first recovery step, so I have my family cued to keep me moving! God Bless you for a speedy recovery and an easy transition to a new life

Melissa...I was given a challenge to pick somebody with an upcoming surgery date, and "tag" you're it!! Actually, I chose Aug 28 in memory of my mom's birthday. I have an open RNY scheduled for Aug 8th, and I know she'll be watching over me. Sorry to hear of your insurance challenges, luckily, mine was a breeze! Now that you are approved and have a date...the hardest part starts...waiting for the "day" to arrive. I am finding myself on the short end of the patience meter! All my co-workers are probably grumbling to themselves "damn, I wish Aug 8th would hurry up so Cindy would quit counting the days!" You are in my thoughts and well-wishes. Cindy
