July 07, 2003

I have not updated in a long while. I am still doing GREAT!! I will be 3 years post op on October 19, 2003. I still weigh about 140. My weight fluctuates at times between 136 and 143. My lowest weight was 132 and I did not like it. I did not look healthy.

I have started exercising more. I want to tone up.

As for eating - I can eat anything in moderation. Chinese, dairy and ground beef still do not set well. I eat VERY LITTLE of these things.

I still wear mostly 6's. Some 8's - some 4's.

I truly love what this surgery has done not only for my appearance but for my self confidence. I believe that I can use my testimony to help others (and have). I thank God everyday for the blessings he has given me through this surgery.

10/30/01 - Went to the Dr. 10/19/01 for my 1 year check up. GREAT NEWS!! My weight is 140.5 - I lost 143 pounds in 1 year. I am at the "ideal" weight for my height. My doctor really wants me to gain 5 to 10 pounds. I will try!

I eat mostly anything I want with the exception of Chinese Food. For some reason it just will not stay down. Pasta and milk are BIG No's as well.
I mostly wear size 6 or 8. I a few size 4's. Shirt size is a small.

So far no complications.

08/01/01 - 9 1/2 months post op. Current weight 152. I have lost about 131 pounds and I love it. I wear size 8's mostly.
I pretty much eat what I want in moderation. Funny thing is I do not really "WANT" sweets. I have a taste now & then.

04/20/01 - 6 months post op - Current weight 173 - That is 110.5. I have 13 more pounds to my goal of 160. Now wearing size 10 comfortably. Some size 8's fit well also.

04/03/01 - Current weight 179 - that is 104.5 pounds. I am a little over 5 months post op.

3/5/01 - Current weight 187 - 4 1/2 months post op. The weight loss has slowed down some but I am happy to be in size 12 jeans!!!

01/19/01 - Went for my 3 month check up - weighed 207.5 That is a total of 72.5 pounds gone FOREVER in just 3 months!!!

Had Lap RNY on 10/19/00 - beginning weight 283.5 - weight as of 12/25/00 - 220

Surgeon Info:
Surgeon: Voravit Wongsa M.D.
Dr. Wongsa is wonderful. He was very attentive and explained, in detail, every step of the operation to my husband after surgery. He came to visit 2 times a day and has been very supportive. The office staff is very helpful and truly concerned for your well being. He believes that you should have plenty of protein and solid foods as soon as the staples are out. His surgical compitence and bedside manner are both GREAT!!!! To date, I really do not have anything negative to say. I had surgery 2 months ago
Insurer Info:
Aetna
I did not have to deal witht he insurance company. Dr. Wongsa's staff took care of everything and I was approved in 2 weeks.
