I'm looking forward to having the surgery. I 've done alot of
research on the subject. The weight has really affected my health. I'm a diabetic, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, high cholestrol , pain in joints, let alone the emotional aspects of being overweight.

11/3/05 Hi eveyone, made it through the first day of liquid diet. Horrible till about 2pm then, i wasnt hungry.. thank goodness.
2weeks from yesterday, i will be on my way. I had a heart cath the other day, and everything is clear as a bell. Can't wait till surgery. My husband is getting very scared. Im trying to convience him i'll be ok. (im a nurse, so i try to medically convience him also) we can"t say for sure in life what will happen to us. We can only pray for the best outcome. well, till later.. be good.

I go meet the MD wednesday, and also give the $ , so then no turning back!!!!! not doing to well on the protein liquid diet..... (go figure, thats why i need this surgery), not to happy to hear peggy is not doing well. keep her in your prayers. till next time.. see ya!!!!!!

Surgeon Info:
Surgeon: Thomas Lavin, M.D.
Dr. lavin is great. Seems he is one of the most experienced. My procedure was not easy. (previous abdomen surgeries, adhesions, 2 hernias). He seems kind of quiet, but as long as he is an expert, I'm wasn't to concerned of conversation. I know he was one of the best, I did alot of research, and worked with many people that had it done through him , post ops' 1year, 2 years. would recommend him to anyone.
