Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! I will be praying for you, and I know you will come through surgery with flying colors. Pretty soon, you will be a big ol’ loser!! I’m not going to tell you that the first few weeks after surgery will be a bed of roses because it was pretty bad for me. I had lap RNY surgery on 5/24/05. But today, I feel fine and the only thing that I regret is that I didn’t have surgery in 2004 when I first started researching it. So, if you find that you’re having a hard time coping right after surgery, please know that it DOES get better. Don’t ever hesitate to email me if there is anything I can do for you – even if you just need a pep talk! So here’s to you… may you have a successful surgery, improved health, energy galore, many “wow moments”, and fabulous before-and-after pics! God bless! Hugs, Tracy     — future former fat chick

It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne     — judyanne

Try not to be too nervous - I’m sure things will go swimmingly. When you’re up to it, please let us know how you made out. Be Well, A.J.     — A.J. P.

Cissy, thank you for all of the support you have given me over the past few weeks!-------Congratulations on the start of your amazing journey!-------------------Love, Jill-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Redefining the Past ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Nothing can hold you back -- not your childhood, not the history of a lifetime, not even the very last moment before now. In a moment you can abandon your past. And once abandoned, you can redefine it.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If the past was a ring of futility, let it become a wheel of yearning that drives you forward. If the past was a brick wall, let it become a dam to unleash your power.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The very first step of change is so powerful, the boundaries of time fall aside. You have a beautiful family and even though you tend to hide I can see that you are also beautiful. I can also tell that you are beautiful in the most important place and that is inside from your writing. It is not at all unusual to have those feelings of anxiety when we are facing something like a major operation. We have all been there an understand. I will pray for your surgeon to have great skill in his hands when he operates on you. I will pray for peace for you. You have done your work and you know what to expect and you have your wonderful family to support you. God speed to you. Hugs, Marti O ps Do you have an Angel?     — [Anonymous]
