HELLO everyone I would like to thank everyone for their well wishs and sending out all your prayers for me. I cam home yesterday, feeling a little tired and slow. Other than that everything went well. I can't wait to start feeling like myself again. So, want to thank Gina who called me at the hospital to see how I was doing. Thank you again everyone. Chicken broth never tasted so good (LOL).
I will give more updates as I recover.

Dear Valerie, So glad to hear that you are up and doing well. I know that if you have faith in Jesus Christ that the work will be done through Him. I meditated on these 2 scriptures in particular, 2Kings20:5 I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. And then after my surgery, this one still is my rock, Ephesians3:20,21 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,......to him be glory. Jesus is The Great Physician and I will pray for your rcovery and continued strength in the Lord. Thanks to your daughter for keeping us informed on your progress. God bless!! Frannie

Dear Valerie, I am so glad you are doing well. I also ran a slight fever for a few days off and on...its nothing to worry about. I tried to call you when you were still in SICU but they wouldnt put me through because I wasnt immediate family. I thought about calling back and saying I was your cousin or something but figured you probably needed your rest anyway...so I will call you on Monday afternoon. Keep your spirits high and keep smiling. Love and HUGS...GINA RISO

Happy Mother's Day!!!
My family & I went to visit my mother today at the hospital and she really looks & feels good. She rain a fever for the past two days but it came down (thank GOD). She's happy that the surgery is over with and she can't wait to get home and neither can we. She is satisfied that she decided to have the surgery at Clara Maass. As of today she is still eating ice chips, but starting tomorrow she will start drinking liquids. The nursing staff there is wonderful. My mother also stared taking walks up and down the hallways of the hospital. I am so glad that her progress is going well. GOD BLESS, Nijyyah.

I was so glad to hear that your surgery went well. Your daughter called me to tell me you were in recovery and then were going to ICU...just hang on it gets better every day. Just like we talked about, keep that energy high and your spirits too. You will be running around in a few weeks and no one will be able to keep you still. I am so glad we finally got a chance to talk to each other. I love you my new friend and will call you on Saturday afternoon.
God Bless you and your lovely family. (((HUGS)))GINA RISO

My mother (Valerie) and father left around 6:30 a.m. to go to the hospital. My father called me and gave me an update on how my mother was doing. She went into the surgery room around 9:30 a.m. and the surgery was finish about 12:00 a.m. Once the surgery was over she was taken to the recovery room, where she will be staying for a couple of hours. After that she will me taken to the intensive care unit and there she will be staying for a day or two. Once her two days are up, she will be sent to a regular room (I know she can't to get to a regular room). I will keep posting my mother's wonderful progress. This is Valerie's daughter Nijyyah Colter. GOD BLESS!
