I remember the plane ride. 8 hours from Minneapolis and I had never flown before. I didn't know what a seat belt extender was, so I laid the belt across my lap as far as I could and put my sweatshirt over the clasp and the attendant never looked! 	*06/18/2004 07:17 PM* Hi Guss, 6-18-04 My name Is Diana and you are not alone so don't worry i felt the same way i weigh about 233 and am 5'2 but I have health conditions An arrythmia and hypertention.I decided to have this surgery cause it's the only way i am going to have my health back.I know it is scary when you read all of the story's and people are sick but, someone who had the surgery told me not to base your decision on other peoples outcomes...... Do you feel that this is for you? I do know that open RNY is usually for those whith BMI over 55 or above the LapBand I heard does not alway's work for everyone. There is Laparscopic RNY that is less invasive with Quick recovery time.Now whatever you decide you have to understand that you are not going to just get up and walk out as if nothing happened it's serious surgery and you have to take care of yourself and take thing's slow. I am going to get me date on Tuesday so pray for me....all I can tell you is Pray and you'll know! you need to follow your heart. i'm sure that everything will go well for you and I wish you lot's love on your journy.
