well Eric.. I noticed that you haven't been thanked for a few months.. at least not on your support page, so I thought I would pay it forward. Thank YOU for all your hard work and dedication in assisting soo many people in acquiring a more healthy and fulfilling life... including my own!! I have been a member on OH since 06/30/03 and I'm always inspired by other member's stories. I have made my home on the SINGLES BOARD.. and have met people there that are now considered family. Thank YOU and the staff for giving all of us a place to come and socialize and be supportive of each other. I hope that life is always good to you...

Eric,
I just wanted to thank you for creating this website for me and for all of those who need the love and kind support of others going through the issues of Morbid obesity. I cannot tell you how much this site has helped me get through this journey. I have my suregery scheduled in less than 2 weeks and having my online journal here has been such a tremendous help for me. Whether people read it or not, I have felt so much better putting my thoughts into words. I wish I could tell the world about your site. I know how much it has meant to me. By the way, your photo does not show up in your profile. Would love to see what you look like.

Dear Eric, This is the first time I visited your website, and I feel some shame in having taken so long to find out about the person behind all the thoughtful emails you take the time to send to all your members. Not to mention this fantastic website! I just want to say that you are a beautiful human being, and on behalf of myself and any one who may not have taken the time to post, but may have wanted to, we Thank God for your Blessed Presence. I mean this sincerely from the top and bottom of my heart and soul. You have touched so many in a way that words can never express. Your kindness, caring, and take action attitude should never be taken for granted (even though I am guilty of doing just that). May God continue to Bless you and us! Peace and Love, Barbara P.

I had to find out who created this web site. And it is you Eric Klien! My feeble words cannot express the gratitude that I, as well as countless others feel for you and your staff. It took a very unselfish person to see the need of so many people, from so many different walks of life.
It also say's you do'nt have an angel? This would be incorrect. You have them all over the world my friend. Eric, you will never know, this side of heaven how many lives you have touched and changed. I simply say,Thank you!

I couldn't have done so well without the support of you guys! Many hugs, Kathie in Hawaii (Open RNY 08/07/02..Down 172 Pounds!)

What a wonderful tool this is...
Original Post by Joyce Z at 8:59 AM PST on 10/24/2003
Buffalo, NY - RNY (06/17/2003)
I have to say that I could not be happier with this tool. I haven't felt this good in years. My surgery took place June 17, 2003 with Dr. O'Malley in Rochester, NY. I have lost 68 pounds and have this new energy. I seem to be doing better with each passing day, learning and adjusting and trying to take advantage of this great opportunity to be healthy again. I have stopped the grazing and only eat my meals and no snacking, getting in my protein shake (pro score 100) and vitamins. I started really exercising this week and feeling even better, having more energy. Gone are the days of naps after work because I was so tired from the walk from my office to the car (one city block). I have this new love of life and want to spend as much time as I can with friends and family instead of my old friend "the couch" oh yes and "the tv". What I do find myself doing now when the food doesn't taste so great, I stop eating it, I no longer devour food I don't like. I do have to remind myself that I don't have to eat everyting on my plate and shouldn't, I read where some people only 2 or 3 oz. and I should probably cute back on quantity even if it is only good food I am eating. The friends I have made from my local support group have been godsends, they have given so much support I cannot thank them enough (Sherry Wittlinger). I so appreciate all the help I have received from Susan Maria and Sharon Neva and so many others, for answering my questions and giving advice, I cannot thank you all enough, and thank you Momma Angel for doing what we all should be doing but like myself, don't . And to Eric, you alone are a godsend, change the layout of the site everyday and I wouldn't care, I am just so happy that this one exists. To all of those who work so hard to make this site what it is, thank you, because of everyone, I will succeed in this journey and life will just keep getting better. God Bless and thank you all. I have submitted my pic and it should show up soon.

Eric, thank you for this wonderful site. I had Lap-RNY, September 16th and I depended on this site to get me through all of those days before. I didn't have a computer and God belssed me with one in June of this year and it was just in time to find OH. I count on you guys to be there for me through the rest of my journey. May God Bless you and keep you in His loving care.

Hi Eric I justed wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this website. It has saved my life. I'm scheduled to have WLS on 10/22/03 and I don't know what I would have done without this site. I have been able to review hundreds of profiles and information that have convince me that I am doing the right thing. I thank you once again and I know my two boys thank you as well because you have actually returned their mother to them. You see this site has given me alot of hope and it is because of this hope that I have been able to take the steps I have taken towards WLS. Words can never return what your site has given me. When I have recovered from my surgery I look forward to getting involved with this site and try to give back what has been given to me so freely. HUGS

Hi Eric :) Just wanting to thank you so for developing and overseeing ObesityHelp.com! It is truly a WONDERFUL site, and is what allowed me to start my WLS journey. Being able to learn of others in same situation as me, and see them succeed with the surgery, allowed me to realize that perhaps there was a way out of the prison of morbid (or in my case, super morbid) obesity. Much thanks from a neighbor in Lake Forest :)

Hi Eric,
Thanks for the support. I am so excited. I read up on your profile. What an awesome guy you are to not only recognize the needs of others, but to do something about it. This website is awesome. I have not updated my profile lately, but I'm still in the waiting phase. As soon as I get my surgery, I will do alot of updating. I've got some papers to take to my physician about this web-site. I will see Dr. Daryl Stewart on June 3 for my pre-op and will give it to him then. It thrills my soul to meet someone with so much love and compassion. The world needs alot more Eric Kleins' in it as far as I'm concerned. I love to meet people with huge, caring, compassionate hearts. Have I mentioned that your an awesome guy. OK, I'll stop before your head starts swelling (just teasing).
So nice to meet you,
Love Amber

Eric, Just wanted to say thanks for this wonderful website, to see how others have come along so beautifully brings hope to all those wishing to have the surgery done. What a wealth of useful information, I bought the weight loss book by Barbara Thompson but don't think I learned much because I had done so much reading off this site. I expected to see you also had a
prior issue w/weight but I was touched by the fact you didn't. I work as an alarm monitor over the phone and I have men flirt with me and ask me out but I know 1 glimpse of me would have sent them running. I guess what I am trying to say is thanks for having a kind heart and not discriminating against your fellow man. For this, may God bless you in all your efforts.

Hi Eric, Doing pretty good here, found another Dr that will accept my Insurance, now it's just a waiting thing to get in for my consult (October 8th) Liv-Lite contacted me, I'm praying with their help that I will get approved the FIRST TIME. Again I have to tell you this site is Awesome and your are an Awesome man that gives and cares so much. You have helped so many people.
I'm also having a blast and enjoy helping in "sprucing up" some of the profiles! *I think I've done 54 now* Thankyou and Sheri Carver for inviting me to join the HTML team!
Hugs and prayer always!

Eric Thank you for building the best web site in the history of medicine. You have opened up a community of people that normally would not be able to be in contact with each other. You are a wonderful person. I know this because you did not have to take up our cause. You obviously don't have a issue with weight but yet you opened your heart to us and your brain to. Thank you for being the caring person you are and the intelligent person you are also. May you have a wonderful and rich life. Love, Mary Ray

Thank you Eric for establishing this site, it and YOU have been a Godsend for many people. I am still pre-op *sigh* My initial consult got cancelled yet again because of the Dr. moving out of state. But I know because of all the wonderful people on this site, and their valuable information I will be able to find another Dr. near that will accept my insurance. I have another *idea* I want to talk to you about, but I will mail you with it. :) Prayers and hugs to a super guy

Happy Birthday to ObesityHelp founder, Eric Klein. Thank you soooo much for creating this wonderful site which has become a lifeline and inspiration to so many people. I hope you know how much this site has meant to so many people! May your life be rich and fulfilling and may you be blessed with all love you have passed on to us. Folks, I think a fitting tribute to Eric would be to get out your checkbooks or credit cards and send in a donation to ObesityHelp.com. You don't have to send a huge contribution, I'm sure every dollar would be appreciated. This site has given us so much, lets give a little back! As a fringe benefit, you'll get a cool little flashy star next to your name. *grin*
