Comments:I had a lower body lift with Dr. Brou July 12, 2006. Dr. Brou modified the traditional LBL due to the large amount of excess upper-belly skin; he completed the traditional LBL and added a veritcal incision from the horizontal incision to my breast bone. I am extremely satisfied with the front half of my extended LBL. I do still have loose skin, but it is so much better than pre-surgery. I am very happy with the results. The back-half of the LBL, I believe, was pulled too tight. The incision still has significant discomfort (after 6 months), and has formed stretch marks all along the scar area. I experienced a large hemotoma after surgery. Dr. Brou and his staff worked through the issues with me, and were always very accomodating to any concern or question that I had regarding my care. I plan to have my arm skin removed and a breast lift/augmentation next year. I am definitely interested in having Dr. Brou complete this surgery.

Comments:Dr. Brou is very nice and so is his staff. I like his breast reduction procedure because there is no incision in the crease under the breast, just a sort of "lollipop" shape incision, going around the areola and straight down. I still have 60-80 more pounds to lose, but want insurance to cover a reduction (& lift), so we are submitting for approval (BCBS Federal) now. He said it is "reasonable" to expect (but certainly not promise) that if he takes me down to a C cup now, that I would shrink to a B with my future weight loss, and have maybe a little possible sag after that. That's fine w/me, and worse would be fine. I have only lost a few cup sizes to date, and am ready to get rid of these monsters. I will lose more anyway by the time ins. approval and the surgery gets here.***UPDATE*** I had my BR nearly 2 yrs ago and have lost 52 lbs since then and there is no sag, however, I am at a B cup now, but I don't care! I love my small breasts, however there are still "puckers" underneath each one that Dr. Brou said would go away buth they haven't. I'm a little disappointed about that, maybe one day I can have them fixed. Otherwise, they are great!
