| Comments: | I researched and interviewed four doctors in the valley to perform corrective surgeries after losing 120 pounds and selected Dr. Gitt because he took the time to listen to me and to explain the procedures to me. He answered all my questions in detail and without being concerned about the amount of time he took to answer them and at the end he even gave me a discount for performing two procedures at the same time. The office staff is extremely personable, supportive and friendly. I love Dr. Gitt and his staff and would highly recommend him if you are considering any corrective surgeries after gastric bypass. Dr. Gitt has performed two of the four surgeries I plan to have and I wouldn't consider going to another plastic surgeon for my remaining surgeries. Thank you Dr. Gitt! |

| Comments: | Where can I start? First off I want to say that I wish that this site offered a higher level of review, "excellent" isn't high enough! I had WLS on March 3 2006, I had a "duo-denal Switch". I lost 200+ lbs..Awesome!! BUT I must add that my starting weight was 500 lbs, so I was still weighing 275 ( give or take a few lbs ) but I was done losing, the surgery was a huge success and I could now actually get out of bed and WALK and have a life! However I now had pounds and pounds of excess flabby skin. I went to a couple other Plastic Surgeons before I saw Dr Gitt, which were MUCH higher priced and didn't listen at all to what I was saying, they looked at me like " you are still obese, we will do surgery but it wont look good" PLUS the price was SO HIGH, seeing DR Gitt not only did he actually LISTEN and HEAR what I was trying to say, he gave me good ideas, what to have done and what NOT to have done..I needed this skin gone, I needed to feel good about the outside of my body now that 200+ lbs were gone, and I wasn't losing anymore, he had made sure that I was 18 months since I lost any more. I have had 5 surgeries with Dr Gitt, I had ( I don't remember the technical medical term so I will just tell you what it was!) my flabby "bat" arms made look SO good that I can now wear sleeveless dresses and tank tops! I had my "tubular" Breasts that were SO HORRIBLE lifted and reduced AND then got a breast implants to make them " extra" perky!!:) I had a stomach procedure that took away ALL my excess skin ( and there was such a " apron" there, I actually lost another pant size in just losing that skin" I had my thighs made to look SO much better by removing that excess skin, AND ( now this is personal lol) BUT I had my Vagina " lifted" YES that gets all saggy too!! I also had the skin under my chin " smart lipo'd" which basically removed extra fat AND tightened the skin, such a surprise to take off the bandages on that one, NO DOUBLE CHIN!! WOOHOO!!! Now let me say this, yes I'm still a " chubby girl" BUT I have no flabby skin, so saggy skin that makes me look freakish anymore ( my word, sorry no other way to describe the feeling) Let me also say this, Surgery wasn't easy, not in the least, I had complications ( especially in my tummy area, because of my duo denal switch WLS I had,It makes me absorb less, and makes it that much harder to heal, but, and this is the most important thing Im going to say here..Dr Gitt and ALL of North Vally Plastic Surgery, NEVER LEFT ME, I was ALWAYS taken care of, I was able to come in everyday if needed, they ALWAYS made room for me to be seen..I will never forget how Susan held my hand, How Michelle hugged me, and How Dr Gitt and Dr Heffel always answered all my questions and always made it as painless as possible, I'm about to have another surgery,just some minor touch ups,but I know that I'm totally safe, I'm in the best place to have it done possible..down to Scott who was my nurse Anesthetist who makes sure to call you the day before, who sees you before surgery and makes you feel safe, the OR nurses who make you feel comfortable ( gotta throw in the fact that they have an awesome pre op room, nice soothing music, really calms you down) I want to also say that I'm not a really wealthy person, you would think walking into Dr Gitts office that its going to be " One of those snobby pricey Scottsdale Plastic surgery centers" and that couldn't be further from the truth, he was VERY affordable AND NOT AT ALL SNOBBY!! ( which my husband liked!!) They put up with all my million questions ( of which I have many, trust me hehe) and treated me with dignity and class, I can honestly say they are now Family to me, they gave me the courage to wear a strappy evening dress and feel pretty, they gave me confidence, Thank you Dr. Gitt,Dr Heffel, Susan, Michelle, Scott, Teresa a ALL..Kathleen Schmelke Klein :) |

| Comments: | After having maintained the 115 lbs, that I lost due to WLS in 2006, I decided that it was time to get rid of the extra skin and put my breasts back up where they belonged. Following a referral from my physician I went for a consult with Dr. Gitt. Dr. Gitt was frinedly and informative and took the time to answer my questions...some of them twice. His humor is offbeat, but sometimes you need that when you are standing completely naked in front of a stranger. In January 2010 I had a combination of procedures that included a breast lift, tummy tuck, upper arm lift, thigh lipo and a belly button hernia fix. I felt like I was hit by a truck the next day! Without Dr. Gitt and his staff (and my sister) I would not have made it. They saw me as often as I needed and always took excellent care of me. I had a minor complication with my upper arms healing that brought me to tears one day..but Dr. Gitt saw me through it and promised that everything would heal up and look great. I have healed nicely and all the scars are fading! Everything looks great, I have a flat tummy, a new awesome belly button and my breasts are perky once again! I would recommend Dr. Gitt and his staff to anyone looking to have plastic surgery done. In fact I just scheduled what I hope will be my last surgery, a thigh lift and some slight revisions from the first surgery. All my thanks to Dr. Gitt. |

| Comments: | Although Dr.Gitt seems to "know his stuff" when it comes to post weight loss plastic surgery, but he could definitely learn a thing or two about listening to the prospective patient. During my consult I felt barreled over. It seemed as though what he had to say was more important than the questions I wanted to ask. He talked more about himself then he took time asking questions about what I wanted out of the procedures I was inquiring about. He needs a lesson in sensitivity. During the exam I felt like a piece of meat on display. He made some inappropriate comments to my husband such as "can you believe I get paid for this" as he had his hand on my rear end. After my consult his staff was not upfront with me as I inquired about what board certified anesthesiology group he would be using for my 8 hour surgery. Days later after searching the group name the receptionist gave me to no avail, I called back and got the "anesthesiologist" name. Upon searching, I found that he was not an anesthesiologist at all but a nurse anesthetist. No anesthesiologist is present at the time of surgery. That was all I needed to hear to know the this was not the right choice for me. My overall experience was not good with Dr. Gitt and I did not and would not choose him to be my surgeon. |

| Comments: | I listened to Dr. Gitt's seminar on plastice surgery in 8/08 and had a consultation that day. He told me to wait until I had lost more weight. I decided at that time that only he would do my surgery when I was ready. In Sept. 09 I had another consultation with him and my surgery was scheduled for 10/09. I am now almost 3 mos. post op. I had my stomach and a breast lift done. I couldn't be more thrilled with the way I feel and look. Dr. Gitt and his staff have made the past 4 months so much easier. Thank you. I highly recommend him and his entire staff. They were totally professional and very caring about my well being. |

| Comments: | After having WLS in November 2007, I lost an amazing 105 lbs that ultimately left me with saggy skin. While researching plastic surgeons on-line, I came across Dr. Gitt at North Valley Plastic Surgery and was very interested in meeting him since he specialized in patients who have had a massive weight loss. I went to see Dr. Gitt with the thought of needing a full body lift and breast augmentation. He explained to me that I did not need the full body lift and that I needed an extended abdonminoplasty. Along with the breast augmentation, he suggested liposuction on my inner and outer thighs. At the last minute, I added the labiaplasty surgery. It was a lot to have done at one time but I am so glad I did it! Michelle was supportive in allowing me to visit the office several times prior to surgery to ensure that I was comfortable with the amount of cc’s I had chosen for my gel implants. When my surgery day arrived, Dr. Gitt and his staff were very professional and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I saw Susan for most of my after surgery visits. She and Michelle are very caring and promptly returned my phone calls. It has been 9 weeks since my plastic surgery and I am completely thrilled with my results. Oh, and I love my new belly button! I would highly recommend Dr. Gitt for your plastic surgery needs and wants! |

| Comments: | Dr. Gitt is a very skilled, compassionate doctor. I lost 110 pounds through diet and exercise and was left with a large overhanging apron. After doing my research I set up an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Gitt. At my consultation Dr. Gitt let me know what he could do for me and explained the risks involved as well as how he would address any potential problems. Believing that I had found the right doctor I had a panniculectomy 9 days ago and am extremely happy with the results.
Dr. Gitt's staff is incredible. Every person in his office and at the surgery center treated me with respect and made me feel like I was their most important patient. They have shared in my victory of losing the weight and have expressed their excitement about the results that were attained with my surgery.
I highly recommend Dr. Gitt for any post-bariatric surgery. |

| Comments: | I had bariatric surgery in August 2006. By January 2008 I had lost 165 lbs and it was obvious plastic surgery would be needed. Thats when I was sent to Dr. Gitt and his team. They are polite, helpful, and made the scary process seem flawless. There were some bumps along the way but the entire team made themselves available to fix and problems and address all my concerns. Even when I did develope an infection, Dr. Gitt was at my side in the hospital within hours. Bed side manner is very important to me and this team leads the pack. I am now 3 months out of surgery (tummy tuck, liposuction on thighs and breast augmentation) and I could not be more pleased with my results. |

| Comments: | Well let's start with I absolutely love Dr. Gitt and all of his staff. I had my my tummy tuck, lipo and breast aug in Dec 2007. Everything went great except I wanted my waist to be a little smaller. So I went back and asked for the Fleur De Lis. In April 2008 I went in for the Fleur De Lis consult and some revisions that were needed from the tummy tuck (Dog Ears) and Dr. Gitt was so nice about everything. He found things he wanted to fix and threw them in with my surgery. Put it this way I ended up with smaller thighs and a tiny waist. That surgery by far is the best thing I have done along with he tummy tuck and breast aug. All of the surgeries were done at the surgery center. I have had the best experience there. I have had several other surgeries in hospitals and I never wake up as comfortable as in Dr. Gitts surgery center. My post op care was wonderful!!! Laura, Susan, Joyce, Dr Heffel (can't forget him he was GREAT!!!) and Michelle were amazing! I love Dr. Gitt and hope to see him soon to do my thigh lift(once I can fit it in my budget) :-) |

His office staff was very good about follow-up appointments and information. Dr. Gitt was down to earth and didn't try to push or foster unrealistic goals. I only lost 85 lbs after WLS, but I still have a fair amount of excess skin. In anticipation of a panni lift I had lipo suction on my abdomin last fall. Post surgery I had some complications with falling blood pressure. Dr. Gitt was proactive pre-surgury and insisted because of my age (60) and health that I recover in the hospital, which was a life saver for me. Had he been less attentive I might not be writing this today. I still hope to get that panni lift in the future and I would definitely have Dr. Gitt do my surgery. Just FYI lipo suction isn't for sissies... |

I liked that he let me know all the area that he could "fix" but then completely understood when I told him I was only looking to have specific areas worked on. There was no pushing of additional work, no "selling". He is honest and explains everything he does in detail before doing anything.
Nurse Laura is also a wonderful person. She is understanding and caring. I saw her on 3 of my post-op visits and looked forward to them. When I was begging her to pull both drains at the same time, she knew that it was not in my best intrest health wise, and stuck to her guns. I am glad she did, I ended up draining a little more over the next few days. She patiently listened to all my concerns and questions and answered them all.
Michelle, Nurse Susan and Joyce (who is the one who first told me about Dr. Gitt) are all wonderful also.
I can't wait to be a before and after in Dr. Gitt's book. |

I had weight loss surgery about 3 years ago and finally decided to remove the skin left behind. I was very unsure of the process and Dr. Gitt came highly recommended by my primary care doctor. I met with Dr. Gitt and his staff and was so pleased with their attitude. I had the skin removed 2 weeks ago today and I could not be happier. Dr. Gitt really helped me to feel good about myself, he made me actually look great. Dr. Gitt and his staff will be on my Christmas mailing list, that is for sure. |

| Comments: | I'd had a weight problem all my life before my gastric bypass on January 6th, 2004. My highest weight was 331 pounds. That surgery changed, and saved my life. My total weight loss was 150 pounds, and did I ever feel like I was on the top of the world! Unfortunately, mother nature didn't work with me as much as I'd have liked and the leftover skin and fat that remained was very unpleasant. Over the last couple of years, I met with 4 different plastic surgeons. I knew I'd need quite a bit done, so I wanted someone that was experienced with working with bariatric patients, and wasn't so astronomically expensive that I'd have to remortgage my house to pay for it. :-) I ended up choosing Dr. Gitt, and I just had my surgery on October 1st. It was a big surgery. I had a full lower body lift, pubic plasty, enhancement of my butt (he used my own tissue to round out the flatness), inner thigh lipo to prepare my legs for a future surgery, and breast augmentation. The first week was the roughest, but I'm healing very well and am beginning to see the results of a whole new body...one I've never had before, nor thought I could ever have! I have to say that I am so glad that I chose Dr. Gitt for this surgery. He's phenominal! He know's what he's doing. That has been evident in every step of this process. Not only did I feel very secure in putting my care in his hands, but his whole Team very experienced and is patient oriented. Those in the operating and in the office. Any time I called with questions, they were friendly, courteous and knowledgable. Dr. Gitt's nurse, Laura, is so wonderful and understanding! I've asked so many questions, and she answered everything and put my mind at ease. Others in the office, Michelle, Susan, Crystal, Teresa... All have been fabulous! And especially Joyce. I've known her since I had gastric bypass and she put me in touch with Dr. Gitt. She has been fantastic! I can't say enough about Dr. Gitt and his staff. The search for a plastic surgeon is huge. I had gastric bypass surgery 2 years ago. I lost 180 pounds. Got to my goal in 1 year. I had a lot of excess skin and decided the only way I was going to get out of the feeling like a "fat person" mentality and feel like a "skinny person" was to remove the excess skin.
I am now 8 months out from my lower body lift/breast lift. It took a little while to recuperate, but I'm doing GREAT!!! Everyone recuperates differently. I am diabetic(one of 5% of gastric bypass patients that are still diabetic after surgery, just my luck) so my recuperation was a little harder than the norm, which can be frustrating. I kept up a positive attitude. This is NOT an easy surgery, but I can now say it was well worth the pain. Dr Gitt took EXCELLENT care of me as well as his staff. I had some medical issues after surgery, and he was very responsive to my needs. He is truly a sincere, caring, experienced Doctor. His staff is GREAT also. Laura is very knowledgable and caring. She has a lot of patience. The office staff will take excellent care of you. If you need to call after hours, Dr Gitt is readily available to answer your questions/concerns immediately.
I would HIGHLY recommend DR Gitt for any cosmetic procedure. His esthetician gives great facials also and the Jane Iredale makeup line is wonderful. I sound like a commercial huh? Well, It's not!!! | Comments: | After having gastric bypass in Feb of 03, and going from 270lbs to 135 lbs, and then getting pregnant and having a baby in 05 with a steady weight after my pregnancy of 145 lbs and then recently becoming divorced, I figured it was time to get a little work done, I had a breast lift with implants, standard tummy tuck, lipo in my back, saddle bags, inner and outer thighs. I had my surgery done on 8/22/07, as of today I am 10 days out, and I feel great. I saw my sister do this same surgery with a different Dr. (Dr. Leber) and I can tell you people have different pain tolerences, I found the surgery to be a much easier recovery than my sisters, for myself the pain was very tolerable, and the pain meds worked beautifully, I would say after day 4 it was mostly my back hurting from being hunched over more than anything else! I am still very swollen and I weigh 10 lbs more than when I had surgery, but I already have a beautiful hour glass figure, even with all the swelling! I love my new breasts, they are beautiful, and my tummy is so flat! I am totally black and blue on my lipo areas, and my thighs look huge from the swelling still especially from wearing the garment and the binder it pushes all the swelling downwards, and I normally have timy ankles but they are huge right now. One of the most exciting things is that my saddle bags are GONE!! They were my most problem area, and poof...gone...yipee~! My surgery in total cost just a tad under $18000.00, this included everything, even my nights stay at the hospital I was transported to where they took wonderful care of me. Dr. Gitt was fantastic, put me at ease, and his staff is top notch, I have worked mostly with his RN Laura, Luv her! I have had a fantastic experience so far and cannot wait to see the final results a couple of months from now. I am happy to answer any questions that anyone might have, just email me through my profile ( my profile is still the old school style, and it is very detailed from my start of gastric bypass till now) All in all I love Dr Gitt and his team and I can not thank him enough. Also, while I was in surgery Dr Gitt found a hernia and fixed it and billed my insurance without me having to pay my out of pocket deductable ( since the plastic surgery was a cash pay) and also he had a suspitious mole removed by my old belly button and sent it in for tests, turned out that the mole was "changing" and it could have lead to a cancerous state if it had not been removed, also my new belly button is adorable! I got all of my drain tubes removed today and I'm feeling terrific! Thanks again Dr Gitt and staff! |

I had alot of extra skin hanging, and my plastic surgery was complicated by a humongous hernia that we were unaware of. Dr Gitt could not be as "aggresive" as he would have liked to have been with skin removal because of that, however he reassured me that in around 8 months or so, we could look into getting the rest of the skin off, depending on how well my abdomen heals. Considering the comlication of the hernia, he still did a great job, and after seeing my "before" photos, I am still less a whole bunch of skin!! |

| Comments: | I went to see Dr. Gitt at the recommendation of a friend after I had gone for plastic surgery in Mexico. I had lipo of the legs, butt, hips, back - along with an arm lift & breast lift. I was not given hardly any follow up care instruction. I was told I would have drains put in for my breasts & arms, and when I woke up, there were none in. Due to this, I feel like I am more swollen now and will take longer to recover. Also, I was told that my stitches had to be taken out at 2 weeks. When I visit with Dr. Gitt, he discovered they were the self-dissolveable kind. I was told I would stay overnight at the clinic in Mexico, but was instead taken to the hotel I stayed in the night before. I was obviously told many things that were not true, and I feel like I was roped in and spit back out once they had their money. The real kicker is that Dr. Gitt told me he could have done the same procedures for almost the same exact price, and I would have received proper follow-up care. I am thankful he has agreed to take me on as a patient, as there are a couple of revisions that will need to be done. There is a patch of fat/skin near my left elbow that was not properly removed with the arm lift. As well, there is also a "dented" area at the top of my left breast's areola that may need to be fixed. After the surgery, and for a week until I saw Dr. Gitt, I was feeling very depressed and regretted my decision to go to Tijuana, Mexico (where I thought it was cheaper). It also made me feel like I would never have any other procedure done every again. He made me feel that I would be well taken care of, and now my spirits are higher and if I feel the need for any other procedure in the future, I will definitely be seeing Dr. Gitt. Thank you! |

| Comments: | DR. GITT...THANK YOU...THANK YOU!!This will not be the usual post regarding PS...I had my first visit with Dr. Gitt 5-22-07. I was looking forward to having excess skin and fat removed on various parts of my body. I also felt that I had a couple of abdominal hernias. Dr. Gitt was very informative and kind. But, before he would consider surgery he insisted I have a Cat-Scan of my abdomen...Hmmm??? what the???Three days later I had the CT Scan. Yuck Barium! well after the procedure I returned home, I was not in the door when St. Joe's radiologist called me and informed me that I had to return to the hospital immediately and check in to the ER where they were waiting for me!!! When I arrived they wisked me off to a room and I was being admitted!! I asked if they found the hernias I thought I had and was informed that they found a 7.2cm Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm!!! Talk about an unexpected diagnosis!! For the next 3 days I was treated like a Time-Bomb...which I was...usually one of these aneurysms begin to leak or rupture at about 5cm!! A wonderful vascular surgeon Dr. Koopot did a stint with aortic graft. I am on the mend, and I owe my life to Dr. GITT!!! Needless to say the PS has been put on the back burner, but that will only be for a little while. I am determined to have the PS that I went in for!!! Again Thank You Dr. Gitt and your staff. I will be back soon to see you all!! |

From the initial visit to he post op visits.His staff is top notch as well. I usually have a rough time with anestesia but did not have a single problem. Today is 5-19-07 and my arms look great. I have several other procedures scheduled with him as well.He also is very conservative in his fee schedule. He had the lowest prices and gave the best care. | Comments: | In my opinion PS is a very personal and vulnerable decision to make. In my journey towards PS I made the decision that if my Ins. would not cover it I would not do it. For the most part I am a private person, I am so grateful to my Bariatric surgeon and thrilled that I have made the best use of my tool to achieve my weight loss goals as well as health goals. In my search for a PS I wanted someone who cares and did not look at me as a $ sign, understood where I was coming from regarding insurance and my expectations for my body. I found all of that and more in Dr. Gitt. I was not in a position financially to pay for any PS and for my own reason could not justify a large expense to have PS. Dr. Gitt was understanding of that and was willing to go to bat for me with my insurance company, knowing that if the procedures were denied I would opt out of surgery. I began in Oct 2006 with the attempt for insurance approval and was denied. Dr. Gitt did not give up and Apr 13th I had surgery, Hernia repair and Panni. He is one of few PS that will even attempt insurance approval. Dr. Gitt has a passion for Bariatric patients and is very understanding , as is his entire staff. I was pleased with the fact that his office is all inclusive, office and surgi center. He has 2 PA's Jerry and Tracy they are great. He has Joyce his Post Bariatric Pt. coordinater. He has carved out a whole area of his practice for post bariatric pts and that is a special feeling. He knows and understands that we have special needs in ways that other PS pt's do not necessarily have. He meets those needs in a personal and caring manner and wants the best for his Post Bariatric Pt's. The whole surgery process went well, I felt comfortable the whole way. I would highly recommend Dr. Gitt and his staff. On a side note I drive a total of 2 hrs plus roundtrip to see him and he is worth every mile and traffic jam! Thank you Dr. Gitt! |

I wanted to share this information regarding Dr. Gitt in hopes of helping others. I had gastric bypass surgery over 2 years ago. I lost 146 LBS and as you can imagine, I had a terrible problem with my breasts and stomach, and really everywhere. I became very depressed and was not certain where to go for help, so I began with a local surgeon
in Phoenix Dr. Steven Gitt. I'm happy to report that was the only place I had to go. Dr. Gitt was outstanding and I must tell you, everybody I had talked to in the waiting room of his office just raved about him. I was pleasantly surprised at how knowledgable he was in plastic surgery regarding bariatric surgery patients and how passionate he was. I didn't know how I was going to afford it, just knew I would not have a life until I could get something done. The entire office was very helpful and knowledgable in getting procedures approved through insurance as much as possible. The office personal was extremely, helpful, knowledgable and caring. Dr. Gitt assured me he would work with me, and he did. I ended up having a breast lift, a tummy tuck and a pubiplasty. The results are phenominal. I can't believe what a wonderful job he did considering what he had to work with. I had concerns over a breast lift because I had so much extra skin there, well, let me tell you, they look fabulous. I told Dr. Gitt, you must be a genius. He is the best. My sister is going to fly in from Las Vegas to have a face lift by him, since he did such a wonderful job. I have spoken with others that have not had such success. He is the best in Arizona and I highly recommend him. He gave me back my life. If your looking, know you can go to him with great confidence.

When I went to see Dr Gitt, I was very impressed with him. He was very professional and knew what he was talking about! I couldn't believe the price quoted, it was far below other doctors I had seen or heard about. I had a circumfrential (sp?) body lift, hernia repair, and pubic lift done on Jan. 3, 2007. Dr Gitt did an excellent job!! I'm very pleased with the results so far, and can't wait for the swelling to go away to see the final results. I love his staff, they are all so friendly and kind. | Comments: | I can't say enough about my experience with Dr. Gitt & his awesome staff. They made me feel comfortable from the initial visit last year through my surgery (body lift with hernia repair & breast aug). Dr. Gitt plans things out carefully. He had me on Iron supplements before surgery and had me use hibiclens antiseptic shower the night before to decrease my infection risk. Preop teaching with PA Jerry was perfect and I was set. Preop info packet and reference materials Dr. Gitt reccomended were helpful. I spent one night at the hopital after surgery and then went home. They took off a huge skin apron, augmented my breasts, fixxed my hernia, and I look like a woman again! Dr. Gitt is an experienced General Surgeon as well as a Plastic Surgeon (board certified in bothspecialties!) so he was able to fix my hernia at the same time! None of the other surgeons that I saw would (could?) do that so I was sold. Insurance paid for hernia repair and panniculactomy so my out of pocket wasn't so bad. I can't wait to return for my arms and face. These guys are the best. I have sent several friends to Dr. Gitt and they are all happy. |

| Comments: | My journey to Dr. Gitt began 6 years ago after I had a gastric bypass. I was impressed that he was and still retains his trama surgeon status and skills. After surgery (I weighed in at 254 lbs.) I lost 100 lbs and had lots of excess skin. Dr Gitt first did a total body lift. He explained what it woiuld entail and advised that he would use a scar that I already had on my abdoman as a starting point. I was delighted because that scar was from a gall bladder operation it thick and ugly. Dr Gitt removed it and the excess skin around my stomach, sides and back. It was great!! Recently I went back in to Dr. Gitt to get the (bat wings) from my arms done along with some liposuction. The arms are healing nicely and my torso looks great! Dr Gitt is a very caring individual. He describes what the proceedure will entail and what the outcome will be like. His staff are pretty terrific and friendly as well. |

We had continuous follow up appointments to go over any concerns and to follow my recuperation. I went to Dr Gitt on the referral of my neighbor who is a pharmacist. I figured she knew what to look for in a surgeon and she gave me advice before and after. My other neighbor is having a procedure today with him because she was able to see beautiful results in both of us. | Comments: | Dr. Steven Gitt and his office staff are wonderful. I have gone from 310 pounds to 167 pounds from gastric bypass. Being only 5'2" that is a lot for my little frame.
I did a lot of research on finding a good plastic surgeon that is not only great with former obese patients, but is also willing to work with insurance companies.
I have had a total of 2 surgeries by him and will be going in for a 3rd for touch ups after the begining of this year.
I had never expected the results that I received, being over weight for so many years I didn't expect much. The first surgery he did a tummy tuck, breast implants, liposuction on my hips, buttocks, and outer thighs. I couldn't believe how I looked.
The 2nd surgery I had a breast lift, upper arm lift, and thigh lift. I have basically recovered at this point and looking forward to hopefully the last surgery which are just touch ups.
He is an excellent doctor that understands how obesity can affect you before and after the weight loss. Both him and his office are extremely helpful and understanding. I have and would recommend him to any one. |

| Comments: | My experience with Dr. Gitt was outstanding!!! No words can express how thankful I am to Dr. Gitt’s and his staff. I truly owe the man my life. I know many people rave about other doctors but I’m telling you straight from my heart that Dr. Gitt's is the best!!! Prior to me meeting Dr Gitt’s I had searched and consulted with many other doctors that seemed to not care or had no compassion for what they did. Dr. Gitt’s immediately demonstrated compassion and sensitivity to my situation and assured me the processes would not be easy but would be well worth it in the end. I still remember those words over 5 yrs ago when I stepped into his office at 590lb and to this day they still ring in my ears every time I look in the mirror. Dr Gitt’s performed a tummy tuck, breast lift/reduction, back tuck and a full body lift. I had lost over 340 pounds and needed to remove all the excess skin and tighten the muscles. I was initially nervous at the beginning of this process but Dr Gitt’s prepared me and assured me of the challenges again never leaving me question what was coming or what not to expect. He did an outstanding job and I have been extremely happy with the results. He has changed my life completely and the only thing I regret to this day was not meeting Dr Gitt's prior to 5 years ago. So, anyone out there thinking it can’t be done or if you are afraid to do something contact Dr Gitt's office immediately once you meet Dr Gitts and his staff you will feel like a ton of bricks have been lifted off your chest and you have finally found the place that can free you from yourself. (You know what I’m talking about). I would like to also thank Dr Gitts staff Jerry, Tracey, Pearl, Beverly, Nicky and Chad you guys were absolutely AMAZING. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, for making me feel welcome and part of the family. You guys truly made me feel at home. YOU GUYS ROCK!! He advised me of all my options for PS and I choose which procedure was the most important to me at this time. I felt most comfortable with him and his staff. (You know your first impression is always the best) His staff has alwways greeted me by name and were all helpful in answering any little question I had prior to surgery. I had my extended tummy-tuck and lipo surgery on April 13, 2006. I was 3 years and 2 months post op and felt this was time to complete my transformation. (265/144 lbs.) I was fully aware of what my bariatric surgeon had explaned to me regarding the healing process in a patient like me. Our bodies take a little longer to heal and could be aty risk for some complications.I had a pocket of fluid that did not drain right and the minute my nurse noticed it, Dr. Gitt was informed immediatly and I was back in his surgery center the next morning getting well taken care of.(ThanksLisa-awesome nurse!) I healed a lot quicker after that and my incision lookes fabulous!! Not to mention my tight stomach! And all my FLAT areas where he lipo'd. I moved to the West Valley in AZ April of 2005 from Orange County Ca. and out of all the terrific Plastic surgeons I had to choose from out there, I chose Dr. Gitt and highly reccommend him-which I already have! |

| Comments: | I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Gitt and his staff. It can be very intimidating to go to a plastic surgeon and face the reality of your surgery needs. Dr. Gitt, along with his complete staff made me feel very comfortable and accepted. I felt like they understood my needs and could relate to it. My Gastric Bypass surgery was in 2002. After two years I started to look for a surgeon who could meet my needs and also had extensive experience with weight loss patients. Dr. Gitt is that surgeon. From the first visit, I felt very comfortable with him. He gave me realistic expectations (in my case, those expectations were surpassed). Dr. Gitt and his staff walked me through every step of my Pre-op and Post-op journey. I had a lot of questions after surgery. They never made me feel like I was burden every time I called. I am very happy I chose him and also with my results. I made the right choice. |

| Comments: | Everything about my weight loss journey was extremely difficult. It took me almost 2 years to lose 300 pounds and when the time came to find a plastic surgeon Dr. Gitt was the only one willing to help me. I needed an abdominoplasty, panniculectomy, thigh plasty and mastopexy for my first of two surgeries. For the amount of work I needed done it was near impossible to even find a surgeon who would take on my case and fight my insurance company with me. As you can imagine with mounds of hanging skin all over my body I was very nervous to meet him, but from my very first appointment I felt an instant comfort level with Dr. Gitt that I've never felt with any other physician. He explained everything in detail and made sure I understood everything. He explained to me in my very first appt about complications, but that they are usually always minor if they occur. He also made sure I understood that there would be scaring, it will get better, and to be realistic in that we were working on looking better, not perfect. I feel everything I went through getting my first surgery, which was 4 weeks ago, I was completely prepared for physically and mentally because Dr. Gitt and his staff warned me ahead of time what to expect. I am completely satisfied with the surgeries he performed. It has changed everything about me for the better. It was the worst pain I've ever felt, which they prepared me for, but even that taught me there is nothing I can't get through. I would highly recommend Dr. Gitt to anyone searching for a plastic surgeon. |

| Comments: | I had hesitations about going to a Plastic Surgeon because I had not yet completed my weight loss. I was worried the Doctor would be judgmental or condescending, however I needed a hernia repair and I wanted to have a tummy tuck at the same time. I am so glad that I went. Dr. Gitt was very informed about Gastric Bypass and was personally knew my physician as well as others in the field. Both Dr. Gitt and his staff were reassuring about the procedures and went out of their way to answer all of my questions.
I felt so comfortable with the quality of care that my daughter is going today to meet with Dr. Gitt for a consultation for a breast reduction-and I am even more particular about my children's care than my own (even though she is an adult)!!
I have not yet had my surgery as I am waiting for the insurance approval but I am confident that the excellent quality of care I have experienced will continue. By the way, Dr. Gitt's office is handling all of the insurance process for me-something that several other offices in the area would not do. |
