Obesity & Me

What was your stay in the hospital like? How long where you there? What things are most important to bring?

For the most part, my stay was good. Nurses were very concerned and helpful. Some of the support staff was really clueless and not very helpful because of it. I was in the hospital four days including my surgery day. Received all my meds on time except for the day I was to leave. It was kind of like "well, you're going home so you don't need us anymore" Well, I wasn't home yet and I did need there help to get my meds and CIB ready. I had brought some magazines and things to keep me entertained and totally didn't need them. I was so zonked that it was difficult to concentrate on much and I was plenty busy sipping, coughing, and walking. I found once I was home that a body pillow helps to keep me comfortable in bed and probably would've been helpful in the hospital.
