How inspiring! My husband and I are doing this together too. He had his surgery on 11/11/08, mine is scheduled for 12/9/08. We know the hardest part is those few weeks post surgery, but we're keeping our eyes on the prize! We are SOOO looking forward to the Spring of 2009 when we can go kayaking and biking with our two youngs sons-currently 4 1/2 and 6 1/2 years old. We hope they NEVER remember us as FAT people-just as active ones! We cannot wait to take our pop up camper and actually hike the trails in the campgrounds instead of making excuses why we can't.
