Dr. Heydari is fantastic and has been completely responsive to all of my needs. Before surgery, there were required classes, which helped me to understand what everything was about and what to expect afterward. Dr. Heydari absolutely emphasizes aftercare, which I think is great. I would whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Heydari to anyone who is considering bariatric surgery. Additionally, his staff is top notch.

I guess the only negative is that there is not much flexibility with aftercare appointments. I work full time and the only appointment time they have at the office that I go to, is Wednesday mornings, so I end up taking at least a 1/2 day off.

Dr. Heydari has been a life saver for me. I was on a bad road and one steak dinner away from a heart attack. My life has changed in so many ways. ALL POSITIVE. From the first informative meeting until now, 20 months post op, and almost 200 pounds gone, Dr. Heydari and his staff have been very helpful, professional, and compassionate. There are not enough words I can say or think of to thank Dr. Heydari. Dr. Heydari and his staff are great. Together they take great pains to educate potential patients on the procedures that they perform, as well as how to maintain. The doctor is not only highly skilled, but also very friendly and genuinely cares about his patients. I felt like I was able to get to know him and ask any questions I had prior to commiting to anything. I specifically chose him because of his reputation and I was not disappointed. I am very glad he was my doctor!

Dr. Heydari is the best. He took the time to answer all my questions and give me options. He is very caring and supportive. His follow up's are great. He encourages and wants "us" to do well.

I was going to have this surgery about 12 yrs ago, but I was afraid. I did not know the surgeon. Once I found out that Dr. Heydari was doing the surgery, I could not wait. I knew I was in GREAT hands!!! I had the surgery 5/20/08 and have lost 112-115 pounds. I feel great and I am so much more healthy. I had my surgery on April 8, 2008. I had been approved two years earlier to have the surgery and decided it wasn't the right time. After adopting our child, I decided the time couldn't be better and jumped through the insurance hoops to make the leap into gastric bypass surgery.

I honestly could not be more happy with the surgery, but even more importantly with Dr. Heydari and his staff. Supportive, informative, everything you could possibly need when making a life changing decision!

Two years later and I still have my visits with Dr. Heydari...he is kind, but he makes me accountable and because of the efforts of Dr. Heydari and his staff combined with my own...I know I will continue to be a successful patient and keep the weight off!

Dr. Amir Heydari was my surgeon for gastric bypass surgery in November 2008. I chose Dr. Heydari as my surgeon because of his medical training with the pioneer and master of weight loss surgery, Dr. Mason, Professor of Surgery at the University of Iowa. Dr. Heydari believes in the importance of educating the patient with an informative series of classes, exploring the emotional health of the patient in meetings with a mental health professional, the benefit of attending an established support group and regular patient follow up. Dr. Heydari has all the attributes of a fine physician and surgeon. He is kind, caring and compassionate manner. For anyone contemplating weight loss surgery it is important to recognize that Dr. Heydari's program at Centegra Health System achieved a prestigious honor as a "Center of Excellence" for weight loss surgery.

Dr. Heydari is very caring and compasionate doctor. The more I went to Dr. Heydari the more I knew I made the right choice. Each and every office team memeber he has working for him is as caring as Dr. Heydari. There is nothing bad to say about Dr. You will know the minute you meet him that you will want to continue your journey with his team. The after program you can follow is great. Dr. Heydari goes over everything in his informational session that he has and he advises the risk and he also advises what complications if any have happened with his surgery's. Which are none that I am aware of. I am going to Rate Dr. Heydari from my personnel experience as a 10+ on a scale of 1-10 you cannot find anyone better. Dr. Heydari is very competent and the best beside manner anyone could ask for.

I had my gastric bypass sugery on 10/30/2012 and it went very well. From the informational meeting to all the appointments Dr Heydaria and his staff have been very supportive. The support that you get is just fantastic. Dr Heydari is a wonderful surgeon. He makes sure that you are very well informed about the surgery and what to expect after your surgery. The classes that are required are excellent.They also offer a suppport group.
