    Andres Castellanos, MD, is the director of the Center for Surgical Weight Loss at Hahnemann University Hospital, and assistant professor of surgery and associate surgical program director for Drexel University College of Medicine.  With clinical expertise in laparoscopic and bariatric surgeries, his research as focused on the use of laparoscopic tools for robotically assistant minimally invasive surgeries - the future of robotic surgeries and gastro-intestinal surgeries in obese patients.Dr. Castellanos is a board-certified general surgeon, who received his Medical Doctor degree from the University of Zulia Medical School in Venezuela.  He completed a surgery internship and residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital, and research fellowships in minimally invasive surgery and robotics at Drexel University College of Medicine.   He is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.  Dr. Castellanos is also a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Society of Laparoscopic Surgery and the Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery Association.

    Pretty unprofessional, I heard him talking about my weight with the nurse outside the room and he was saying not so nice things such as "I didn't care" and that he didn't want to help me.
