I really liked Dr. Castro when I first met him and my opinion has only gotten better. He answered all my questions and was careful to make sure I understood exactly what the surgery was and the risks and benefits. I'd recommend anyone to him.

My surgeon Dr. Castro explained to me the procedure. He has the experience and the knowlegde. I was denied for the surgery and he help me appeal. He is the greatest.rnrn4-16-08 WE WON THE APPEAL MY SURGERY IS MAY 5,2008 rnTHE LORD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME

Upon my initial consultation with Dr Castro, I liked him immediately. After going thru my medical history with him, I was reassured with my choice of surgeons. He listened! rnrnI remember him in the OR after the surgery was finished. I had concerns about scar tissue from previous surgies, and he told me, even though I was in an anesthesia stupor, that everything went well.

Currently I am considering Dr. Armando Castro. He is a partner of Dr. Ferzli out of Staten Island. I have heard many good things about their practice and so far everything seems to be true. He is very thorough with the tests needed and he takes his time to answer all questions. He is the Second surgeon that I am considering and so far he seems like a go!!!rnUPDATE: AUG 12,2007rnrnWith my RNY surgery over and done with, I cant say that I could have made a better choice than Dr. Castro. I only had to take pain meds for the first day after surgery!!! I had more pain with my tonsillectomy! He is very personable and you need that when you are afraid of a life altering procedure. He even showed a sense of humor and I dont know too many Doctors who let that side of them show. Im grateful to have met Dr. Castro and Staff and I look forward to working with them on my continued weight loss journey...
